Co Ba Vung Tau is one of the most popular restaurants which serve traditional foods such as Vietnamese Pancake, Khot Cake, Bun Thit Nuong, Com Tam… in Saigon. It’s famous for warm atmosphere, Vietnamese style decoration and delicious foods. The restaurant is located at 40B Tran Cao Van Street, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City and not far from the center of the city. The gate is built from red brick, its roof is made from tiling. Dozens of wooden, bamboo and cloth lanterns make the restaurant splendid. Inside the restaurant is decorated in wooden style with wooden tables and chairs. Some paintings and photos about Saigon hung on yellow wall. Entering Co Ba Vung Tau, you will be taken careful by nice waitresses in yellow traditional Ao Ba Ba and waiters in brown Ao Ba Ba like Vietnamese people in the past.

Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Pancake is one of the most delicious dishes at Co Ba Vung Tau. The highlight of Banh Xeo there is crispy and thin as a paper. The cook must be careful and skilful to make a crispy thin 40 cm diameter cake  with fillings inside. When they brought the cake to us, it covered whole table. Vietnamese Pancake is served with assorted vegetables and sweet and sour fish sauce dip. I ordered a cake with mixed fillings with baby basket clams, shrimp, meet, mung bean and young coconut palm. To eat, just use a green leaf to roll a piece of crispy pancake, a little of filling. Then you dip the roll into the fish sauce dip before tucking in. It’s a perfect mix of every ingredients. The cake becomes a favorite of Vietnamese and foreigners because it’s not only flavorful but also healthy.
