18th May 2020 – 324 cases confirmed, 4 new cases confirmed

  • Cases 321 and 322 of Covid-19 in Vietnam are 44-year-old and 39-year-old Vietnamese citizens. They are flight attendants on flight VN0062 from Moscow, Russia, landed at Van Don Airport at 4:40 on 13th May. After landing off at Van Don Airport, they flew to Hanoi on the flight without passengers. At 10:00 AM on the same day, they flew from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and had been in an isolation area of Vietnam Airlines on Hong Ha Street, Ward 2, Tan Binh District. The two flight attendants were in the same room. A few days later, one of them had a fever. They tested positive for Covid-19. They are treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
  • Cases 323 is a 19-year-old Vietnamese citizen and case 324 is 18 years old. They are from Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. They all are students in the U.S. and arrived in Vietnam on 16th May. They flew the flight VN001, sat at 41D and 27K. They were taken to an isolation area in Thach That District, Hanoi. They are treated at the National Tropical Hospital in Hanoi.

17th May 2020 – 320 cases confirmed, 2 new cases confirmed

  • Case 319 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 26-year-old Vietnamese citizen.
  • Case 320 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 29-year-old Vietnamese citizen.
  • They flew on the same flight from Russia as case 314. He was taken to an isolation area in Thai Binh Province after going immigration.

16th May 2020 – 318 cases confirmed, 5 new cases confirmed, 260 patients recovered

  • Case 314 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 62-year-old passenger on the flight VN0062 from Moscow, Russia, landed at Van Don Airport at 4:40 on 13th May. She is in an isolation area in Cong Hoa Commune, Chi Linh City, Hai Duong Province.
  • Case 315 is 39-year-old Vietnamese citizen who illegally crossed the border into Vietnam from Cambodia on 2nd May. He came to his aunt’s house in Tan Dong Hamlet, Tan Thanh Commune, Tan Chau District, Tay Ninh Province. The aunt told him to report to the government, he was taken to an isolation area. He is treated at Tay Ninh General Hospital. 17 people who were in close contact with this patient have been taken to an isolation area in the Medical Center of Tan Chau District and Tay Ninh General Hospital.
  • Cases 316-318 flew the flight VN0062 from Russia, they arrived in Vietnam on 13th May. There are 27 passengers on flight VN0062 tested positive for Covid-19.

15th May 2020 – 313 cases confirmed, 25 new cases confirmed

  • 24 new cases of Covid-19 (cases 289 – 312) are passengers on flight VN0062 from Moscow, Russia, landed at Van Don Airport at 4:40 on 13th May. They were taken to an isolation area in Thai Binh General Hospital after going through immigration.
  • Case 313 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a passenger on the flight VN0088 from Dubai on 3rd May. He was taken to an isolation area in Yen Thanh, Nghe An on the same day. He tested positive for Coronavirus on 15th May.

7th May 2020 – 288 cases confirmed, 7 new cases confirmed

  • 17 new cases of Covid-19 are all Vietnamese citizens, flew into Vietnam from abroad. They are in an isolation area in Bac Lieu General Hospital.

5th May 2020 – 271 cases confirmed, no more case

4th May 2020 – 271 cases confirmed, some cases retested positive for Covid-19 after recovery

  • There is a total of 9 cases retested positive for Covid-19 after recovery in Ho Chi Minh City. These patients include 92, 124, 151, 207, 224, 235, 65, 157, 206.
  • There is no new case of Covid-19 on 4th May 2020.

3rd May 2020 – 271 cases confirmed, 219 cases recovered

  • Case 271 of Covid-19 is a 37-year-old British citizen who is a specialist of Petrovietnam. On 28th April, he flew from the U.K. to Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight AXY 2504. 12 other specialists flew on the same flight. All of them were taken to an isolation area in Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City. On 28th April, all of them tested negative for Covid-19. On 2nd March, 12 people tested negative for Covid-19, only case 271 tested positive for Covid-19.

30th April 2020 – no more new case, a total of 270 cases confirmed and 219 cases have recovered.

  • Two new Covid-19 studies in Japan, flew flight VN311, arrived at Van Don Airport on 22nd April and were taken to an isolation area right after going through immigration. They are treated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
    • Case 269 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 23-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Huong Mai, Viet Yen, Bac Giang Province.
    • Case 270 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 22-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Dong Thang, Tien Dung, Bac Giang Province.
  • 225 cases have recovered.
  • 69,000 people are in isolation.

  • Case 267 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 16-year-old Vietnamese citizen and a Hmong person who lives in a remote village bordering China in Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province. Her brothers have worked as freelance workers in China.
  • 171 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have recovered.

15th April 2020 – cases 267

  • Case 267 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 46-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Xóm Hội, Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. He is patient 257’s father and patient 258’s husband. He was in close contact with case 243 at home on 20th March. On 8th April, he was taken to an isolation area in Hanoi. On 13th April, he had mild symptoms such as slight fever, sore throat, body pain.

14th April 2020 – cases 266

  • Case 267 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 36-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Thuong Tin, Hanoi. From 8th to 10th March, she took care of her mother at Bach Mai Hospital. On 12th March, she had a scratchy throat. She has self-isolated at home from 30th March.
  • 169 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus.

13th April 2020 – cases 261 – 265

  • Case 261 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 60-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Xóm Hội, Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. She sells products at a convenience store at Hạ market.
  • Case 262 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 26-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Xóm Hạ, Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. She is a worker of Samsung Company in Bac Ninh. On 27th March, he was in close contact with his aunt who is patient 254. On 31st March, he had a dry cough and fever. He tested positive for Coronavirus on 11th April.
  • Case 263 is a 45-year-old Vietnamese citizen, who is also from Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. On 25th March, she had a fever, sore throat, dry cough and feeling of tiredness. He is treated at Cau Treo Hospital.
  • Case 264 is a 24-year-old Vietnamese citizen, who is also from Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi.
  • Case 265 is a 26-year-old Vietnamese citizen, who went from Thailand to Vietnam through Cha Lo Border Checkpoint in Quang Binh on 23rd March. He was taken to an isolation in Thach Ha, Ha Tinh after going through immigration.
  • Three cases are in severe conditions: the British pilot, a 64-year-old woman and a 88-year-old woman.

12th April 2020 – cases 259 – 260

  • Case 259 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 41-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Xóm Bàng, Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. She is case 254’s wife. She works as a flower farmer, occasionally delivered flowers to other places and usually bought products at patient 250’s shop until 25th March. From 3rd to 6th April, she went to Xóm Chùa, Xóm Ao Sen, Thôn Liễu Trì to deliver flowers and buy products so that that there are many people being in close contact with her. She was in close contact with her husband until 8th April when he went to Hanoi Kidney Hospital.
  • Case 260 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 35-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Xóm Đường, Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. She is also a flower farmer and did not go far from her home in the past two weeks. Every day, she went to the market, then went to her flower field before going home. She usually bought meat at Bảy Huấn shop in Xóm Đường, where case 259 also came to buy meat. On 6th April, she was in close contact with F1 of case 243 when delivering flowers.

11th April 2020 – cases 258

  • Case 258 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 47-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Xóm Hội, Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. She is case 257’s mother.
  • Until 11th April, 6 people in Ha Loi tested positive for Coronavirus. They are cases 243, 250, 253, 254, 257, 258. 2,711 families are quarantined.
  • 114 people have been recovered.

10th April 2020 – cases 256-257

  • Case 256 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 52-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Van Lam, Hung Yen. On 27th March, he flew from Russia to Noi Bai Airport on flight SU290. He was taken to an isolation area in Vinh Phuc.
  • Case 257 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 15-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Hoi Village, Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. On 20th March, case 243 is her father’s friend and visit her house. On 8th April, she had a fever and runny nose.
  • 75,000 people are in isolation areas.

9th April 2020 – cases 252-255

  • Case 252 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 6-year-old Vietnamese citizen who is from Ward 12, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City. He lives in Cambodia with 4 other family members. Two people in his family tested positive for Coronavirus, they are treated in Cambodia. On 8th April, case 252 and two other people returned to Vietnam, went through Moc Bai border checkpoint. They were taken to Tay Ninh General Hospital on the same day. Only the 6-year-old boy tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Case 253 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 41-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Me Linh, Hanoi. She is case 243’s sister in law and was in close contact with case 243. She is treated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 254 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 51-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Me Linh, Hanoi. He is case 243’s neighbor, he was in close contact with case 243 and case 250. He is treated at Hanoi Kidney Hopspital so that he is isolated here.
  • Case 255 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 29-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Bac Giang, Ha Giang. On 27th March, he flew from Russia to Noi Bai Airport on flight SU290. He was taken to an isolation area in Vinh Phuc.
  • 128 cases have been recovered.

8th April 2020 – cases 250-251

  • Case 250 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 50-year-old Vietnamese citizen who is the neighbor of case 243. She lives in Ha Loi, Me Linh, Hanoi. She has had symptoms of Covid-19 since 2nd April. On 7th April, she tested positive for Coronavirus. She is treated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi. Ha Loi Village which has more than 2,700 families, 11,500 people has been quarantined, more than 100 people who wwere in close contact with case 243 has been in isolation.
  • Case 251 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 64-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Binh Nghia, Binh Luc, Ha Nam. From 20th March until today, he has been treated at the Department of Digestion, Ha Nam General Hospital. His son and daughter in law, who live in Hanoi, took care of the patient. On 7th April, he tested positive for Covid-19.

7th April 2020 – cases 246-249

  • Cases 246 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 33-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Yen Thanh District, Nghe An Province and is a chef in Moscow, Russia. On 24th March, he flew from Russia to Vietnam on flight SU290, sat at 49F, arrived in Hanoi on 25th March. he was taken to an isolation area in FPT University dorm, Thach That, Hanoi. On 6th March, he tested positive for Covid-19, then was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Cases 247 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 28-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Ward 1, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. He is a product line manager of Gia Dinh Shoe Company at 20A Dong Khoi Street, Thanh Phu Commune, Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province. He was in close contact with cases 124 and 151. On 24th March, he was taken to an isolation area in Dong Nai University dorm after case 124 was confirmed. On 26th March, he tested negative for Covid-19. On 6th March, he tested positive for Covid-19. After that, he was taken to Lung Hospital in Dong Nai to be isolated and treated.
  • Cases 248 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 20-year-old American citizen who flew from the U.S. to Japan on flight JL079 on 23rd March, arrived at Tan Son Nhat. After going through immigration, he was taken to an isolation area in the National University of Ho Chi Minh City dorm. On 5th March, he tested positve for Covid-19.
  • Cases 249 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 55-year-old Vietnamese citizen who transited in Hongkong, arrived in Vietnam on 22nd March. He was taken to an isolation area after going through immigration. He was treated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • 122 patients of Covid-19 in Vietnam have been recovered.

6th April 2020 – cases 242-245

  • Cases 242 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 34-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Cam Quan Commune, Cam Xuyen District, Ha Tinh Province. On 25th March, she flew flight SU290, sat at 23A, arrived at Noi Bai Airport. She was taken to an isolation area in FPT University dorm, Thach That, Hanoi. She tested positive for Covid-19, then was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Cases 243 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 47-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Me Linh Commune, Me Linh District, Hanoi. On 12th March, he took her wife to Bach Mai Hospital. On the same day, they ate at a restaurant at the opposite the hospital on Giai Phong Street. On 30th March, he declared his medical history with the medical center and was instructed to self-isolate at home. He was in close contact with his family members, relatives, and partners. On 6th March, he tested positve for Covid-19, then was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 244 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 44-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Duc Trach, Bo Trach, Quang Binh and was a waitress in Germany. She flew from Germany to Russia on flight SU2313, sat at 20F, then flew from Russia to Vietnam on flight SU290, sat at 40C, arrived at Noi Bai Airport on 25th March. She was taken to an isolation area in FPT University dorm, Thach That, Hanoi.On 6th March, he tested positve for Covid-19, then was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 245 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 25-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Son Hai, Quynh Luu, Nghe An and worked as a nail worker in Spain. She flew from Spain to Russia on flight SU250, sat at 26B, then flew from Russia  to Vietnam on flight SU290, sat at 30H, arrived in Noi Bai on 25th March. She was taken to an isolation area in FPT University dorm, Thach That, Hanoi. On 6th March, he tested positve for Covid-19, then was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • There are 95 people have been recovered.

5th April 2020 – case 241

  • Cases 241 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 20-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. He is a student in the U.K. On 21st March, he flew on Vietnam Airlines flight VN50, sat at 5A, arrived in Can Tho on 22nd March. He was taken to an isolation area in Bac Lieu after going through immigration. On 31st March, he had a sore throat. On 1st March, he was taken to the General Hospital of Bac Lieu. He tested positive for Covid-19.
  • There are 91 people, 38% of the comfirmed cases have been recovered.

4th April 2020 – cases 238-240

  • Cases 238 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 17-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Thach Ha, Thach Ha District, Ha Tinh Province. She was a freelance worker in Thailand and lived with her friend who is patient 210. She went from Bangkok to Vietnam by car (or bus), arrived in Vietnam on 18th March. She was taken to an isolation area one day after. On 21st March, she was taken to an isolation area in Thach Ha, Ha Tinh. She is treated at the Cau Treo General Hospital.
  • Cases 239 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 71-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has live in An Hoa, Tam Duong, Vinh Phuc. On 11th March, he went to the Department of Digestive Diseases of Bach Mai Hospital. On 18th March, he returned to the hospital for checking. On 19th March, he returned to Vinh Phuc. He bought some products at the canteen in Bach Mai Hospital. From 19th to 26th March, he did not go out of his home. From 26th to 28th March, he self-isolated. On 28th March, he had a slight fever and was taken to the General Hospital of Vinh Phuc. On 2nd April, he tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Cases 240 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 29-year-old Vietnamese citizen who is from Luc Nam, Bac Giang. She worked in Bangkok. On 19th March, she attended a party with patient 166’s family. On 20th March, she flew flight VN618, sat at 28B, arrived in Hanoi. She was taken to an isolation area in Quynh Luu, Nho Quan, Ninh Binh. On 31st March, she had a fever but had no cough.

3rd April 2020 – cases 228-237

  • Cases 228-234 were taken to an isolation area in Ninh Binh after going through immigration on 20th March.
    • Case 228 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 29-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Bac Giang. He is treated at a general clinic in Cau Yen, Ninh Binh.
    • Case 229 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 30-year-old Vietnamese citizen and Case 230 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 30-year-old Vietnamese citizen. Both of them are from Ha Tinh and treated at the General Hospital of Ninh Binh.
    • Case 231 is a 57-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Kim Lu, Na Ri, Bac Kan. She is a worker of Truong Sinh Company.
    • Case 232 and 233 flew flight SU290, arrived in Vietnam on 27th March and are in an isolation area in Vinh Phuc. They was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
      • Case 232 is a 67-year-old Vietnamese citizen, he is from Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
      • Case 233 is a 24-year-old Vietnamese citizen, she is from Dien Chau, Nghe An.
  • Case 234 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 69-year-old Vietnamese citizen whol has lived in Buon Don District, Dak Lak Province. She flew flight VN2106 from Paris, sat at 45, arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport on 18th March. She has been in an isolation area in Ho Chi Minh City. On 30th March, she tested positive for Covid-19. After that, she was taken to the Can Gio Field Hospital.
  • Case 235 is a 25-year-old British citizen who came to Buddha Bar on 14th March. He has no symptoms of Covid-19. He is in an isolation in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Case 236 is a 26-year-old British citizen who lives in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City and came to Buddha Bar on 14th March. Since 25th March, she has been in isolation in District 9.
  • Case 237 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 64-year-old Sweden citizen who arrived in Vietnam in December 2019. He travel to many provinces in Vietnam, including Ninh Binh (on 17th March), Ho Chi Minh City (from 21st to 22nd March), Hanoi (22nd March). He has acute leukemia. On 26th March, he had an accident and was taken to French Vietnamese Hospital by the ambulance 115. After that, he returned to his hotel. On 31st March, he had a nosebleed and was taken to Duc Giang General Hospital, then the National Institute of Hematology and blood Transformation. On 1st April, he tested positive for Covid-19 and was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.

2nd April 2020 – cases 219-227

  • Case 219 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 59-year-old Vietnamese citizen who is from Hung Yen Province. She took care of her family member, who is patient 133, for 3 weeks in the Department of Neuropathology of Bach Mai Hospital. On 25th March, patient 219 went to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi and has been in isolation until today. Although she tested positive for Covid-19, she had no symptoms of Covid-19. The total cases related to Bach Mai Hospital is 40.
  • Cases 220-222 were taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi after going through immigration.
    • Case 220 is a 20-year-old man, flew from France, arrived in Vietnam on 17th March. On 22nd March, he had a fever and a dry cough.
    • Case 221 is a 24-year-old Vietnamese citizen and a student in Canada. She flew from Canada, transited in Taiwan, arrived in Vietnam on 24th March. She tested for Covid-19 on 30th March.
    • Case 222 is a 28-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives and works in the U.S. On 20th March, she flew on flight JL751 from the U.S. to Vietnam. She tested for Covid-19 on 30th March.
  • Case 223 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 29-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Hai Hau, Nam Dinh. She took care of her family member at the Department of Occupational Therapy of Bach Mai Hospital. From 11th to 24th March, she ate and bought products at canteen of the hospital. She was in close contact with workers of Truong Sinh Company. On 26th March, she had a fever and cough so that she was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 224 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 39-year-old Brazilian citizen who lives in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. He lived in the same room as patient 158 in Masteri Appartment Buildings. He had no symptoms of Covid-19. He has been in an isolation area in Hoc Mon District since 27th March. After he tested positive for Covid-19, he was taken to the Cu Chi Field Hospital.
  • Case 225 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 35-year-old Vietnamese citizen who is from An Dong, An Duong, Hai Phong. He has been working in Moscow for 10 years, flew flight SU290, sat at 50D, arrived in Vietnam on 25th March. He was taken to an isolation area in FPT University in Hoa Lac, Hanoi.
  • Case 226 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 22-year-old Vietnamese citizen who flew on flight SU290 – the same flight as patient 212. He arrived in Vietnam on 27th March and was taken to an isolation area in Vinh Phuc.
  • Case 227 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 31-year-old Vietnamese citizen who is patient 209’s son. He was in close contact with his mother from 16th to 25th March. He was taken to the  National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi on 31st March.

1st April 2020 – cases 208-218

  • Case 208 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 38-year-old Vietnamese citizen and a worker of Truong Sinh Company – a service provider to Bach Mai Hospital.
  • Case 209 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 55-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Duc Giang, Long Bien, Hanoi. She works as a chef at Xang Dau Khu Vuc I Company (Area I Petrol Company). She was in close contact with case 163 who took care of her grandmother at Bach Mai Hospital.
  • Case 210 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 26-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Can Loc, Ha Tinh. She went from Thailand to Vietnam on 20th March. Before arriving in Vietnam, she had been in close contact with case 146 who is from Nghe An and works in Thailand. She is in isolation at Cau Treo Hospital.

After the patient had tested positive for Coronavirus, she was taken to the General Hospital of Ninh Binh.
  • Case 212 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 35-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Hoa Tien, Hung Ha, Thai Binh. She and her husband flew on flight SU290 from Russia , sat at 42C, arrived in Vietnam on 27th March. The couple was taken to an isolation area in Vinh Phuc. On 29th March, she felt tired, had a slight fever so that she was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 213 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 40-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Thanh Ha Urban Area, Cu Khe, Thanh Oai, Hanoi. She had a fever so that she and her husband went to Tropical Center of Bach Mai Hospital. After that, she came back to her home and self-isolated. When she went out, she always wore masks. She tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Case 214 and case 215 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 45-year-old Vietnamese citizen and 31-year-old Vietnamese citizen who live in Truong Chinh, Phuong Mai, Dong Da. They have been in isolation since 30th March. On 31st March, they were taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.

31st March 2020 – cases 204-207

  • Case 204 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 10-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Cat Lai Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. On 14th March, he flew on Turkish Airlines flight TK1770 from Prague, Czech Republic to Istanbul, Turkey, sat at 20B. On 15th March, he flew flight TK162 from Istabul to Ho Chi Minh City. He flew on the same flight as case 83 – a 50-year-old U.S. citizen who tested positive for Covid-19 in 19th March. He had been in an isolation area in District 12 after going through immigration. He has no symptoms of Covid-19 but has sneezed from 18th March. He is treated at Can Gio field hospital.
  • Case 205 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 41-year-old Vietnamese citizen and worker of Truong Sinh Company.
  • Case 206 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 48-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in An Phu Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. He is the private driver of patient 124 who went to Buddha Bar. He was taken to an isolation area in Cu Chi District on 23rd March.
  • Case 207 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 49-year-old Brazilian citizen who lives in An Phu Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. He is patient 151’s husband and also works at the same shoe company. He was taken to an isolation area in Cu Chi District on 23rd March.
  • 58 people have recovered from Coronavirus.
  • From 0:00 1st April 2020, Vietnam will be in “social isolation” (cách ly toàn xã hội) which means:
    • Families are isolated from families, villages are isolated from villages, communes are isolated from communes, districts are isolated from districts, provinces are isolated from provinces.
    • No crowds over 2 people;
    • Factories work but officers and workers of government organizations and companies work at home.
    • Supermarkets, markets and store selling essential products still open.
    • Airlines stop transporting passengers from and to Vietnam, with an exception of foreigners for special purposes such as foreign affairs, those who attend important events, experts, managers, skilled workers after the consideration of Ministries of Vietnam. Reduce the number of domestic flights: two Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City flights, one Hanoi – Da Nang flight, one Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang flight per day.

30th March 2020 – cases 197 – 203

  • Case 189 is a 46-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Tan Quang, Nong Cong, Thanh Hoa Province. She is a worker of Truong Sinh Company Limited – a service provider to Bach Mai Hospital. She delivers boiling water to patients at the hospital. She did not go out of the hospital in the last two weeks. On 28th March, she was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Cases 190, 191, 192, 193, 194 are all women and Vietnamese citizens. They were born in 1971, 1984, 1997, 1999, 1978.
  • Case 197 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 41-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Thanh Ha Urban Area, Cu Khe, Thanh Oai, Hanoi. On 12th March, he went to the Tropical Disease Center of Bach Mai Hospital. On 29th March, he tested positive for Covid-19.
  • 7 cases (cases 195 – 202) are workers at Truong Sinh Company – a service provider to Bach Mai Hospital. All patients are female and at ages of 41, 34, 53, 57, 61, 23. Cases 197 – 202 are treated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 203 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 35-year-old foreigner who flew on flight TK162, sat at 21A, transited in Turkey, arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City on 17th March. She had no symptoms so that she was in an isolation area in Nha Be District. On 27th March, she tested positive for Covid-19.
  • 30 patients are recovered, 27 of them were treated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi, the 3 others were treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.

29th March 2020 – cases  175 – 188

  • Cases 175 – 178 of Covid-19 in Vietnam works for Truong Sinh Company. Case 175 is a 57-year-old man. The others are three women at ages 38, 49, 44.
  • Case 179 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 62-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Ha Dong, Hanoi. He flew flight EK394, arrived in Vietnam on 18th March and was taken to an isolation area in Thanh Hoa Province.
  • Case 180 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 27-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Hop Thanh, My Duc, Hanoi. She is a student in France. She flew flight TG564, transited in Thailand, arrived at Noi Bai Airport on 20th March. After going through immigration, she was taken to an isolation area in Quynh Luu, Nho Quan, Ninh Binh.
  • Case 181 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 33-year-old Vietnamese citizen. He flew flight TG564 from Thailand to Hanoi, arrived in Vietnam on 20th March and was taken to an isolation area in Quynh Luu, Nho Quan, Ninh Binh.
  • Case 182 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 19-year-old Vietnamese citizen and a student in Switzerland. She flew flight VN618 from Switzerland, transited in Thailand, arrived at Noi Bai on 20th March. She was taken to an isolation area in Quynh Luu, Nho Quan, Ninh Binh after going through immigration. Cases 180 – 182 are treated at General Hospital of Ninh Binh.
  • Case 183 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 43-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Trung Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi. She is a reporter and was in contact with case 148 on 12th March.
  • Case 184 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 43-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Cao Minh, Phuc Yen District, Vinh Phuc Province. She flew flight SU290 from Russia, arrived at Noi Bai Airport on 25th March.
  • Case 185 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 38-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Dong Lao, Dong La, Hoai Duc. She had been treated for 8 days in the Department of Neuropathology of Bach Mai Hospital. On 19th March, he went home. On 24th March, he had a cough. On 29th March, he tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Case 186 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 52-year-old French citizen who is case 76’s wife, flew flight TK162 and arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport on 10th March. On 16th March, she arrived in Ninh Binh and her sample was taken.
  • Case 187 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 30-year-old U.S. citizen who lives in Quang An, Tay Ho, Hanoi. He flew flight VN0054, arrived at Noi Bai on 13th March. From 13th to 19th March, he self-isolated at home and was in close contact with 4 Vietnamese citizens and 5 foreigners in the same building. On 25th March, he tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Case 188 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 44-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in My Luong, Chuong My, Hanoi and a worker at Truong Sinh Company. She was in close contact with case 169. On 22th March, she had a cough and sore throat. On 15th March, she went to her hometown and attended a death anniversary. After that, she came back to Bach Mai Hospital and did not go anywhere.

28th March 2020 – cases  164 – 174

  • Case 164 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 23-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Rach Gia, Kien Giang. He is a student in the UK, flew Vietnam Airlines flight VN54, sat at 22K, arrived at Van Don Airport. He was in an isolation in Ninh Binh Province.
  • Case 165 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 58-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Tien Duong, Dong Anh, Hanoi. He flew on the same flight as case 164, sat at 41C and also was in the same isolation area as case 164.
  • Case 166 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 25-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Dong Phu, Luc Nam, Bac Giang. She lives in Thailand, flew on Thai Airways flight TG564, sat at 40B, arrived in Vietnam on 20th March. Cases 164, 165, 166 are treated at General Hospital of Ninh Binh.
  • Case 167 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 20-year-old Danish citizen who has traveled to Vietnam with her friend who is 22-year-old. They flew on flight QR0976, sat at 37K and 37J, arrived in Hanoi on 8th March. They stayed at a hotel on Hang Chieu, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi from 9th to 12th March. On 12th March, she went to Ha Giang on a sleeping bus of Ngoc Son, stayed at Jasmine – Phuong Thien Hotel until 15th March. Returning to Hanoi, she stayed at Kingly Hotel, 8 Ly Thai To Street. On 17th March, she went to Hue by sleeping a bus. At Hue, she stayed at Sunshine 3 Hotel, 10 Vo Thi Sau Street. On 19th March, she went to Hoi An, stayed at Backpacker Hotel, 250 Cua Dai Street. On 23rd March, she flew on flight VJ530, sat at 19E, from Danang to Noi Bai Airport. After that, she stayed at Kingly Hotel. On 24th March, she went to the National Children’s Hospital. She tested positive for Coronavirus, her partner tested negative for Covid-19.
  • Cases 168 and 169 are Vietnamese citizens who provided boiling water to Bach Mai Hospital.
  • Case 170 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 27-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Dinh Hoa, Kim Son, Ninh Binh Province. At the beginning of March, he worked in an new urban area of Vingroup in Gia Lam District, lived with 4 people, was in close contact with a project supervisor. On 14th or 15th March, his father was sick so that he took a coach of Duc Long. After that, he had stayed at home for 5-6 days. On 20th March, he and two his uncles rented a car to transfer his father from the General Hospital of Ninh Binh Province to Bach Mai Hospital. From 20th to 22nd March, he bought takeaway foods and ate at the canteen of Bach Mai Hospital. On 22nd March, he went from Bach Mai Hospital to Giap Bat Bus Station by motorbike taxi. Then he took a Duc Long coach to his hometown. At night, he had a fever and was taken to the General Hospital of Kim Son District. He tested positive for Covid-19 on 15th March.
  • Case 171 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 19-year-old Vietnamese citizen and a student in the U.S. She flew from the U.S., transited in Philippines, arrived in Vietnam on 13th March. She self-isolated at home. On 24th March, her sample was taken. On 28th March, she tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Case 172 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is patient 133’s daughter in law. She had taken care of his mother in law at Bach Mai Hospital for 23 days. Although she tested positive for Coronavirus, she had no symtoms of the virus.
  • Case 173 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a woman who lives and works in Moscow, Russia, arrived in Vietnam on 25th March and was taken to an isolation area in Hoa Lac, Thach That District, Hanoi. She had a fever and cough so that she was taken to a hospital.
  • Case 174 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a worker at the canteen of Bach Mai Hospital and was in contact with a large number of people. In the last two days, case 174 had a fever and cough.

27th March 2020 – cases  154 – 163

  • Case 154 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 23-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Hong Hai Ward, Halong City, Quang Ninh. She is a student in the UK. She flew Vietnam Airlines flight VN50 from London, sat at 12C, arrived in Can Tho on 22nd March. She was on the same flight as case 145. She had a fever and cough and was taken to Tuberculosis Hospital in Can Tho.
  • Case 155 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 21-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives at Trung Hamlet, An Thi Town, Hung Yen Province. She is a student at Huddersfield University in the UK. On 22nd March, she flew Vietnam Airlines flight VN50 from London, sat at 2K. She had no symptoms of Covid-19 when going through immigration. She was in an isolation in Bac Lieu. After she tested positive for Coronavirus, she was taken to the General Hospital of Bac Lieu.
  • Case 156 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 21-year-old Vietnamese citizen in Ward 7, Tra Vinh Province. He is a student in the UK. He was taken to an isolation area in Bac Lieu. After she tested positive for Coronavirus, he was taken to the General Hospital of Bac Lieu.
  • Case 157 of Covid-19 in British is a 31-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Ton Dan Street, Ward 13, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City. She is a teacher at Eschool – Eclass. She was in close contact with a case of Covid-19 at Buddha Bar. She has not any symptoms of Covid-19 and is in an isolation area in Cu Chi Field Hospital.
  • Case 158 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 45-year-old Brazilian citizen who lives in Street 42, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. He is a technician and was in close contact with a Coronavirus patient on 14th March. He has not symptoms of Covid-19 and is at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases of Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Case 159 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 33-year-old Brazilian citizen who lives in Thanh My Loi Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. He was in close contact with a Coronavirus patient on 14th March. He has not symptoms of Covid-19 and is at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases of Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Case 160 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 30-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Loc Phat Ward, Bao Loc City, Lam Dong Province. On 20th March, she had a sore throat but had not fever or dry cough. She was in close contact with a Covid-19 patient in Madrid, Spain one month ago. On 22nd March, she flew flight SU2605 from Madrid to Moscow and flight SU292 Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City. She is treated at Can Gio Field Hospital.
  • Case 161 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 88-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Tan Quang, Van Lam, Hung Yen. She was treated at Bach Mai Hospital and was in the same room with case 133 from 17th to 22nd March. She tested positive for Coronavirus on 25th March and was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 162 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 62-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Thuong Thanh, Long Bien, Hanoi. She is case 161’s daugher in law. She took care of her mother in law at Bach Mai Hospital. She is also treated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 163 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 43-year-old Vietnamese citizen who is case 161’s niece and lives  in Thuong Thanh, Long Bien, Hanoi. She works at a petrol company. She was in close contact with case 161. On 25th March, she was taken to Duc Giang Hospital.

26th March 2020 – cases  142 – 153

  • Case 142 is a 26-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Binh Chanh, Ho Chi Minh City. He is a student in the USA. On 8th March 2020, he flew from Texas, USA to Taiwan, then flew on Eva Air flight BR395, sat at 38A, arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport on 10th March. After going through immigration, he visited a relative at Binh Dan Hospital, went to the ambassador of the U.S. in Ho Chi Minh City, was in close contact with some officers in Tan Tuc Commune, Binh Chanh District. He is treated at Can Gio field hospital.
  • Case 143 is a 58-year-old South African citizen who has lived in Tan Son Nhi Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City. She flew on Eva Air flight BR395 from Seattle, the U.S., sat at 48A, arrived at Tan Son Nhat on 21st March. After going through immigration, she was taken to the isolation area at student residence dormitory of National University of Ho Chi Minh City. She is treated at Can Gio field hospital.
  • Case 144 is a 22-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Ward 14, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. He flew on Vietnam Airlines VN50, sat at 24D, arrived in Vietnam on 22nd March. He is in an isolation area in Tra Vinh Province.
  • Case 145 is a 34-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Son Ky Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City. He is a nail technician in the U.S. He flew Vietnam Airlines flight VN50, sat at 28A, arrived in Can Tho on 22nd March. He is treated at Tuberculosis Hospital.
  • Case 146 is a 17-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Nghi Thiet Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province. She flew from Thailand to Vietnam on 20th March. She was in close contact with some Coronavirus cases in Danang. She is treated at Cau Treo General Hospital in Ha Tinh Province.
  • Case 147 is a 19-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Yen Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi. He is a student in the U.K., flew Vietnam Airlines flight VN54, arrived in Vietnam on 21st March. He is at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 148 is a 58-year-old French citizen who has lived in O Cho Dua, Dong Da, Hanoi. He is a tourist, flew flight VN18, arrived in Vietnam on 12th March. From 12th to 19th March, he had visited many tourist attractions in Hanoi. On 19th March, his sample was taken. After that, he self-isolated until he was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 149 is a 40-year-olds Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Long Bien, Hanoi. He is a freelance worker in Hessen, Germany. He flew on Vietnam Airlines flight VN36, sat at 55C, arrived at Van Don Airport on 23rd March 2020. He had no symptoms of Coronavirus so that he was taken to an isolation area in Quang Ninh. On 25th March, he tested positive for Covid-19. He is treated at Ha Long 2 Hostpital.
  • Case 150 is a 55-year-olds Vietnamese citizen who has lived in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. He and his wife flew Eva Air flight BR395 from the US, transited in Taiwan, sat at 2D and 2K, arrived in Vietnam on 13th March 2020. He went to home after going through immigration. From 14th to 18th March, he was in contact with many people. On 14th March, he held a party at home and there were 4 attendants. On 15th March, he ate at Ganh Restaurant on Han Thuyen Street. On 16th March, he attended a meeting at Transimex Company and a party with 24 people at Hoa Vien Tri Ky. On 18th March, he met his friends in Nha Be District and went to Family Medical Clinice at 34 Le Duan Street. Later, he went to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases of Ho Chi Minh City. He was taken to Can Gio Field Hospital. On 23rd March, he had a fever, cough and sore throat. He tested positive for Coronavirus.
  • Case 151 is a 45-year-olds Brazilian citizen who has lived in Thao Dien Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. She works for Gia Dinh Shoe Company Limited which offices are located in Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province and An Phu Dong Ward, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City. She is the case 124’s co-worker, two of them went to the company on the same private car, went to the same places such as Starbucks in District 2. She was in a restraurant in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province on 13th March, An Phu supermarket on 16th March, Hue Phong factory in Go Vap District on 19th March. She was taken to an isolation in Cu Chi District.
  • Case 152 of Covid-19 is a 27-year-old Vietnamese citizen who is the older sister of case 127 – a worker at Buddha Bar. She works at Formica Company on level 3, Building 414 on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, Ward 5, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. She went to work from 10th to 14th March, was in contact with 4 colleges. On 19th March, she was in contact with some partners at the company. From 15th to 18th March, she was in contact with many people. On 15th March, she visited her parents in Tan Binh District. On 17th March, she had lunch with two friends at Sen vegetarian restaurant in District 1. On 18th March, she was in contact with a shipper. She self-isolated at home after his brother tested positive for Covid-19 on 20th March. On 23rd March, she was taken to Can Gio.
  • Case 153 of Covid-19 is a 60-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Hai Chau District, Danang. She visited her relatives in Australia, flew Vietnam Airlines flight VN772, arrived at Tan Son Nhat on 21st March. She was in isolation at the dormitory of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City. On 23rd March, she was taken to Cu Chi Field Hospital after case 143 of Covid-19 is confirmed.

25th March 2020 – cases  135 – 141

  • Case 135 is a 27-year-old woman, flew on flight PG947 from Copenhagen, Denmark, transited in Doha and Bangkok, sat at 16A, arrived in Danang on 21st March. She is in isolation at Zone 5 Defence Center in Central Vietnam.
  • Case 136 is a 23-year-old woman who has lived in Linh Dam, Hoang Mai, Hanoi. She is a student in the UK, arrived at Noi Bai on 16th March. She self-isolated after going through immigration. On 21st March, she had a fever. She tested positive for Coronavirus.
  • Case 137 is a 36-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Yen Thanh, Nghe An. He flew from Germany to Noi Bai on 15th March.
  • Case 138 is a 23-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Lang Ha, Dong Da, Hanoi. He is a student in the UK, flew flight VN54, arrived at Noi Bai on 21st March. On 24th March, he tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Case 139 is a 24-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Tran Khat Chan, Thanh Nhan, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi. She is a student in the UK and patient 138’s wife.
  • Case 140 is a 21-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lived in Dang Thai Mai, Quang An, Tay Ho, Hanoi. He is a student in the UK, flew flight VN54, arrived at Noi Bai on 21st March. Cases 136 – 139 are at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 141 of Coronavirus in Vietnam is a 29-year-old Vietnamese citizen who works as a doctor at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi. He was infected when setting up a breathing machine for patient 28 – a British citizen. Case 141 is the second doctor who tested positive for Coronavirus in Vietnam.

24th March 2020 – cases  124 – 134

  • Case 124 of Coronavirus in Vietnam is a 52-year-old Brazilian citizen who lives in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. He works at Gia Dinh Shoe Company Limited. He went to work at the office in Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province and the office in District 2 every day. He also went to some restaurants in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai, coffee shops, Vincom Center in District 2 and did not wear any mask. On 14th March, he went to Buddha Bar. On 22nd March, he was taken to an isolation area in District 9. After testing positive for Coronavirus, he is treated at Cu Chi field hospital.

He is a student in the Netherlands, flew on flight SQ176, transited in Singapore, arrived in Hanoi on 15th March 2020. He was in an isolation area in Son Tay. On 19th March, he had a fever and sore throat so that he was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 115 is a 44-year-old woman who lives in the Czech Republic. She is the daughter of case 94. She flew flight SU290 from the Czech Republic to Vietnam, sat at 28C, arrived in Hanoi on 18th March. She was in an isolation in Bac Giang Province. On 20th March, she was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Case 116 of Covid-19 in Vietnam is a 29-year-old doctor who works at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
  • Cases 117 and 118 are a 30-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, passing through Moc Bai Border Gate on 19th March. They were taken to the General Hospital of Tay Ninh Province. Both of them had fever and cough, X-rays showed that their lungs are damaged.

He works for BCG – a finance consulting company on floor 13, MPlaza Saigon, 39 Le Duan Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1. From 1st March to 15th March, he had flown to Indonesia and Thailand and returned to Vietnam many times. He had been in many restaurants, entertainment places, gym centers. He had a fever, a cough and a sore throat. On 20th March 2020, he went to FV Hospital.
  • Case 120 of Coronavirus in Vietnam is a 27-year-old foreign language teacher, living in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. He was in close contact with case 91 – a pilot of Vietnam Airlines. They were at Buddha Bar. After case 91 tested positive for Covid-19, he was taken to an isolation area in District 2. On 21st March, he had a fever, a dry cough and was taken to Cu Chi field hospital.
  • Case 121 of Coronavirus in Vietnam is a 58-year-old man who lives in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. He and his wife flew ANA flight NH831, transited in Narita, Japan, sat at 3H (husband), 3K (wife), arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport on 19th March 2020. On 20th March, he had a fever but no cough. On 23rd March, he tested positive for Coronavirus. He is at the Medical Center of Can Gio District.

On 20th March 2020, she took a taxi to Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Thailand, flew on flight TG947 to Danang. After going through immigration, she was taken to an isolation area in Danang. On 23rd March, she tested positive for Coronavirus.
  • Case 123 of Coronavirus in Vietnam is a 17-year-old Vietnamese citizen who has lives in Sarawar, Malaysia for 3-4 months. On 17th March 2020, she flew flight BI381 from Bandar Seri Begawa to Tan Son Nhat Airport, sat at 27K. She went home on a bus (Cong Tao bus).     • Case 98 of Coronavirus in Vietnam is a 34-year-old British citizen who lives in the same room as case 97 and also a teacher. On 6th March 2020, he flew flight AK1502 from Malaysia to Ho Chi Minh City. On 14th March, he also came to Buddha Bar.
    • Case 99 of Coronavirus in Vietnam is a 29-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. He flew from Paris to Tan Son Nhat, flew flight AF258, sat 33H, arrived in Vietnam on 18th March.
    • Case 100 of Coronavirus in Vietnam is a 55-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lives in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City. On 6th March, she was on a holiday with her family in Con Dao Island, flew flight VN7209 (Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City) and VN8059 (Ho Chi Minh City – Con Dao). On 8th March, she returned to Hanoi, she does not remember the number of the flight. On 9th March, she went to work and had no symptom of Coronavirus. On 11th March, she had a pain in her chest, no cough, no fever. She had been treated at Heart Institute of Bach Mai Hospital for 4 days. She had worn masks until she was released on 19th March. Her sample was taken because she was in close contact with case 87. She tested positive for Coronavirus.
  • Case 87 of Coronavirus in Vietnam is a 34-year-old nurse who works at the Tropical Disease Center isolation area of Bach Mai Hospital. On 18th March, she felt tired, had a cough and a fever. She tested positive for Coronavirus and transferred to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.

Experts, managers, skilled workers are accepted to entry to Vietnam if they have a negative Covid-19 certificate issued by their countries and the certificates must be accepted by Vietnam.

16th March 2020 – case 58, 59, 60, 61

  • Case 58 is a 26-year-old girl, living in Yen The Street, Dien Bien Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. She studied in France, arrived at Noi Bai Airport on 15th March 2020. She tested positive for Coronavirus and becomes Vietnam’s case 58 of Covid-19.
  • Case 59 is a 30-year-old flight attendant, living in Bo De Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi. She flew the flight VN54 from London, arrived in Hanoi on 2nd March 2020. On 14th March, she had a cough and a fever. She tested for Coronavirus and becomes the 59 Covid-19 case in Vietnam.
  • Case 60 is a 29-year-old French citizen. He flew on the flight from Paris to Noi Bai. He arrived in Hanoi on 9th March 2020. The patient traveled Hanoi and Ninh Binh until 15th March. He was taken to an isolation area and tested for Coronavirus on 15th March.
  • A 42-year-old man who lives in Ninh Thuan Province tested positive for Coronavirus. He is the 61st case of Covid-19 in Vietnam and the first Coronavirus case in Ninh Thuan. He flew to Malaysia on 27th February 2020. He flew from Malaysia to Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on flight VJ826 on 4th March. 15th March 2020 – case 54, 55, 56, 57

  • Case 54 is a 33-year-old Latvian citizen. The patient and his wife who is 32 years old flew from Spain to Ho Chi Minh City on the flight TK162, arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport on 8th March 2020. On 9th March, he flew to Phu Quoc on the flight QH1521, then stayed at La Nube Residence from 9th March to 13th March. On 13th March, he flew from Phu Quoc to Ho Chi Minh City on the flight QH1524. After arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport, he stayed in District 1 and 4. On 14th March, he had a fever and went to the The Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Ho Chi Minh City. On 15th March, Vietnam confirms he is the 54th Covid-19 case in Vietnam.
  • Case 55 was a passenger on the flight VN0018 from France, arrived at Noi Bai International Airport on 14th March. He tested positive for Coronavirus on 15th March.
  • Case 56 flew on a flight from England to Vietnam, arrived at Noi Bai Airport on 9th March 2020. He met two female friends and traveled with them. This traveller stayed at Hanoi Paradise Center Hotel in Hang Voi Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi. From 10th to 13th March, he traveled to Sapa, stayed at Mountain River Homestay Sapa. After that, he returned to Hanoi, stayed at Oriental Suiter Hotel, Hang Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District. Vietnam confirms he is the 56th Coronavirus case on 15th March.
  • Case 56 and 57 are at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases.
  • Case 57 was on the flight VN54, arrived in Hanoi on 9th March. The flight was from London. He is in isolation and treated in Quang Nam Province.

14th March 2020 – 48th – 53th cases

  • Case 48 is a 31-year old man, who was in close contact with case 34 and case 45 on 3rd March, tested positive for Coronavirus on 10th March. Patient 48 lives in Ward 14, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City. On 10th March 2020, Vietnam confirmed case 34. Since 11th March 2020, this man has self-isolated.   • Case 49 is a British man, who flew on the flight VN54, arrived in Vietnam on 2nd March 2020, tested positive for Covid-19. He is the 49th Coronavirus case in Vietnam. Patient 49 is 71 years old and the husband of patient 30. He and case 30 have been in isolation from 8th March 2020. He is treated at the General Hospital of Hue.   • Case 50 is a 50-year-old man who lives in Nui Truc Street, Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi. He went to Paris, France and arrived in Hanoi on 9th March 2020. On 11th March 2020, he had a fever and a dry cough. On 13th March 2020, he was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases. On 13th March 2020, he tested positive for Coronavirus. The Ministry of Health confirms he is case 50 in Vietnam.
  • Case 51 is a 22-year-old woman who lives in Xuan Dinh Street, Bac Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi. She studied in Europa, she had been in many countries from 23rd February to 12th March 2020. On 12th March 2020, she had a fever and a cough. On 13rd March 2020, she flew the flight QR968, arrived in Noi Bai International Airport and was taken to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases. She tested positive for Covid-19 on 13th March 2020.
  • Case 52 is a 24-year-old woman who lives in 4B Region, Hong Hai Ward, Halong City, Quang Ninh. She flew on the flight VN54, arrived in Vietnam on 9th March 2020. She took a taxi to her home in Halong and has self-isolated since then. She was taken to the isolation area of the province. On 13th March 2020, she tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Case 53 is a 53-year-old Czech citizen. He was in close contact with Italian people in Czech. On 10th March 2020, he was transited in Doha Airport, Qatar and arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport, then has been lived in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. On 13th March 2020, he had a cough and felt tired. He went to the Traditional Medicine Institute, x-rays show damage in his lung. He was taken to Hospital for Tropical Diseases of Ho Chi Minh City.

13th March 2020 – 45th, 46th, 47th cases

  • Case 45 is a 25-year-old man who was in close contact with case 34 on 3rd March 2020. He lives in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. He met and had dinner with case 34 and case 34’s husband. On 4th March 2020, he went to Ho Chi Minh City on a private car with three other people. He has self-isolated after case 34 was confirmed on 10th March 2020. On 12th March 2020, he had a sore throat and felt stuffy, went to the medical center of the district, then was taken to the field hospital in Cu Chi.   • Case 46 is a 30-year-old flight attendant who was on flight VN54 arrived in Hanoi on 2nd March. She flew on the same flight as patient 17. She lives in Khuong Trung Street, Thanh Xuan Ward, Hanoi. On 6th and 7th March 2020, she went to some places without wearing masks. On 8th March 2020, she served economic class passengers who sit at Y27-37 on the flight VN54. From 8th to 10th March, she arrived in Vietnam, was in some places in Hanoi. On 10th March, she had a fever and a wet cough. From 11th March, she has been in isolation at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases 2. On 13th March 2020, she tested positive for Covid-19.   • On the evening of 12th March 2020, Vietnam confirms 5 Covid-19 cases who are all related to patient 34. Patient 40 is a 2-year-old girl who was in close contact with patient 34. Patient 43 is a 47-year-old woman who was in close contact with patient 38 – patient 34’s daughter in law.   • Case 32 is a 24-year-old Vietnamese citizen who lived in London, UK. She was in close contact with Patient 17, they went out together and attended a party on 27th March 2020. She was told to self-isolate at home after going to a hospital in London. She flew from the U.K. to Vietnam on a private jet, arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport in the morning of 9th March 2020.   • Case 33 was confirmed in the afternoon of the same day. A 58-year-old British man flew on the flight VN54 –  the same flight as case 17. He traveled to Hoi An and tested positive for Coronavirus on 10th March 2020.
  • Case 34 is a 51-year-old Vietnamese woman. She is a businesswoman, lives in Binh Thuan. She flew from Vietnam to New York, the U.S. on 22nd February 2020, transited at Incheon Airport, Korea for 3 hours. She flew from the U.S. to Vietnam, transited in Doha, Qatar and arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport in the morning of 2nd March. Then she went to Binh Thuan by car. 7th March 2020 – 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th cases

  • The 17th case of Coronavirus was confirmed in Hanoi, Vietnam. The 26-year-old Patient 17’s name is Nguyen Hong Nhung, full name is Nguyen. She lives in Truc Bach Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. A part of Truc Banh Street has been isolated. People who were in contact with this woman have been supervised carefully at hospitals and at their homes. She was in the U.K., Italy and France from 15th Feb to 1st March 2020. This business class passenger flew the flight VN54 (Vietnam Airlines) which arrived at Noi Bai Airport at 4:30 AM on 2nd March. She had no fever and did not declare medical history and went home. Nguyen had a fever, was taken to Hong Ngoc Hospital in Yen Ninh Street, Ba Dinh District Hanoi.   • In the afternoon, the 18th case of Coronavirus was confirmed in Vietnam. Patient 18 is 27 years old and from Ninh Binh Province. He and his sister were in Gimhae International Airport in Busan City, Daegu City (Korea) and went to supermarkets with two friends on 18th and 19th February 2020. He arrived at Van Don International Airport, Vietnam from Busan City, Korea on flight VJ981, isolated after going through migration.   • Khanh Hoa announces the province is free from Covid-19 after 39 days since the only case (6th case) was infected on 16th January.
  • Khanh Hoa isolated 36 Korean arrived in Cam Ranh International Airport. 8 of them have coughs and fevers.
  • All people from Korea who arrive in Vietnam will be isolated for 14 days from 26th February.

  • A Vietnamese person living in the U.S. (7th case in Vietnam) tested positive for the virus in Ho Chi Minh City. He was a transit passenger in Wuhan Tianhe International Airport on flight 660 of China Southern Airlines on 15th January 2020, then lived in a hotel in Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. He had a cough on 27th January. He was brought to the Tropical Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City on 31st January.

1st Feb 2020

  • 25-year receptionist (6th case in Vietnam) who worked at a hotel on Ton Dan Street, Nha Trang City tested positive for the virus in Nha Trang. On 16th January, she talked with Li Ding (66-years-old) and his son Li Zichao (28-year-olds), confirmed as two first cases of Coronavirus.
  • From 13:00 1st Feb, all of the flights between China and Vietnam are banned.

30th Jan 2020

  • One Vietnamese person in Thanh Hoa Province and Hanoi Capital tested positive for Coronavirus. They are all workers for a Japanese company in Vinh Phuc Province. They were sent to Wuhan for training and returned to Vietnam on the same flight.

31st Jan 2020

  • Quang Ninh stopped welcoming Chinese tourists and banned self-drive tours from China to Quang Ninh.

22nd Jan 2020

  • Two Chinese people named Li Ding (66-years-old) and his son Li Zichao (28-year-olds) was confirmed as two first cases of Coronavirus.
  • On 13th Jan, Li Ding and his wife flew from Wu Han to Hanoi, stayed in Hanoi until 16th Jan, then moved to Nha Trang by flight. On 19th Jan, they went to Ho Chi Minh City by train, then took a taxi to Long An. On 22nd Jan, they went to a hospital because of fevers. They was treated at Cho Ray Hospital.

Bans against Coronavirus in Vietnam

  • From 18:00 24th March 2020, all billiards, entertainment centers, clubs, bars, restaurants and coffee shops with capacity for over 30 people, spas, hair salons, barber shops in Ho Chi Minh City must be closed.
  • From 00:00 22nd March 2020, Vietnam denies entry to foreigners from all countries, overseas Vietnamese citizens and their families. Visas can be granted to foreigners for special purposes such as foreign affairs, those who attend important events, experts, managers, skilled workers after the consideration of Ministries of Vietnam. Foreign Experts, managers, skilled workers are accepted to entry to Vietnam if they have a negative Covid-19 certificate issued by their countries and the certificates must be accepted by Vietnam. They must be in isolation in their living places.
  • From 00:00 18th March 2020, the Vietnamese government denies entry to foreigners from all countries for 30 days. Free visas are granted to Vietnamese citizens and their families.
  • From 00:00 21st March 2020, all citizens arrived in Vietnam must be isolated for 14 days.
  • Many tourist attractions in Vietnam close because of Coronavirus.
  • 180 discos, bars, beer clubs, 500 karaokes, spas, movie cinemas in Ho Chi Minh closes from 18:00 15th March 2020.
  • From 10th March 2020, all Vietnamese citizens declare medical history.
