The Long Tan – Nu Dat Battle Field Tour Full Day is customized for war history lovers, veterans, particularly the Australian veterans to return to the battlefield in Long Tan Commune, which was used to be the shelter of the Australian soldiers as the ally of the United States in Vietnam War during 1966-1967. The 3-day Battle of Long Tan started on 18th August 1966 in a rubber plantation in South Vietnam in 1966 could have been an Australian military disaster but is instead remembered as a decisive victory. The tour takes you to visit Nui Dat Task Force Base, Long Tan Cross Memorial, Horseshoe FSB, and Long Phuoc Tunnels. Especially, the Long Tan battlefield has become the memorial site which annually welcomes a number of Australia veterans.

The driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel and depart from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). On the way, you will enjoy the nice view of stretching rice field paddies, and Bien Hoa industrial zone. We will stop off at Ba Ria to pick up your travel permit to the sites. Then we will visit the site of the former Nui Dat Task Force Base. Although little remains of this camp except for the columns of the main gate, the guide will tell you many about the base, including lesser- known. The old heli-pad is now a soccer field, the former runway is now a wide street in the local village, a school established by the Australians is nearby.
Driving past the Horseshoe is not permitted to access due to mining activity, we will reach Discourtesy Rubber Plantations for pay a solemn visit the Long Tan Cross Memorial which is raised by the Australians in August 1969 in memory of the great battle of Long Tan.
After that, we will explore the underground Long Phuoc Tunnels which has a total length of more than 200 km. Its include meeting areas, first aid stations, storages for food, medicines, weapons, and fighting pits. Trying crawling some sections of the tunnels and learn more about the heroic character of Vietnamese people and the heart-broken war in the country.
On the tour, lunch with lots of delicious foods will be served. We also stop at Ba Ria Orphanage before leaving for Ho Chi Minh. At the end of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel, tour ends and leaves a memory forever in your heart.
