At 8.30 AM, You will be picked up at your hotel. We will start to visit the Reunification Palace (also known as the Independence Palace), which is the symbolic site of the end of the Vietnam War during the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975. We will then visit the War Remnants Museum, which is the most popular museum in Ho Chi Minh City. It is a collection of the machinery, weapons, photos, and documentation of Vietnam’s wars. We will then visit 2 sites located next to each other and right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City: Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office. Those are the two of the best highlights of old Saigon architecture. We will then have lunch at a charming local restaurant.
In the afternoon, the tour will start with a relaxing and interesting cyclo ride to Lady Thien Hau Temple. The Lady Thien Hau (the Goddess of the Sea) Temple is one of the most ancient temples in the China Town area. After visiting the temple, you will have the chance to walk around China Town and visit some of the local shops selling traditional Chinese products including medicinal herbs, tobaccos, stamps clothing, etc. Departing from the China Town area, we will visit Cha Tam Church. We will then go shopping at Binh Tay Market, the biggest wholesale market in Ho Chi Minh City, and drive back to your hotel.
