Bao Dai Palace is a historical relic located at 4 Nguyen Du Street, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province. The house that was formerly a stilt house was the residence of Sabatier – Ambassador of the French government in the Central Highlands. After that, the house was rebuilt for King Bao Dai to use. Bao Dai Palace in Buon Ma Thuot City, is famous for its beautiful architecture and is the place to mark many historical and cultural events of Dak Lak Province.

During the French invasion of Vietnam, this place used to be the working house of the Dak Lak Provincial Ambassador. At first, the house was built with materials such as wood, thatch, bamboo, etc. In 1926, it was rebuilt with bricks, stone, solid cement and completed in 1927, named the French Embassy. . In 1940, the house was rebuilt according to the ancient architecture of the Central Highlands combined with modernity. Tile roof, wooden floor, concrete basement. The scene is quiet with trees and flowers, the old trees stretch their giant arms for shade, all year round there is the chirping of birds.

After the August Revolution was successful, the revolutionary government used this building as the headquarters of the Revolutionary Advisory Council. During the French colonial period to invade Vietnam, King Bao Dai of the Nguyen Dynasty came here to rest and hunt. Since then, the building has been renamed Bao Dai Palace and is known to this day.

The relic campus is nearly 7 hectares wide, with many ancient trees over 100 years old. The building was rebuilt as it is now with very beautiful architecture imbued with the traditional longhouse style of the indigenous Ede ethnic group, tile roof, wooden floor. Surrounded by a forest of ancient trees, very diverse in types; Most notably, there are 2 camphor trees symmetrically planted on both sides of the road with a very beautiful and rare appearance, this may be one of the largest camphor trees in Vietnam. From the entrance are 02 camphor trees. On both sides of the gate, each tree has a root circumference of about 8m, spreading wide leaves to create a dignified scene.
