The Cu Chi tunnels (BEN DUOC) are located about 70 km from the center of Ho Chi Minh city. Our tour starts at 8:00 am (morning tour) or 12:45 (afternoon tour). You can meet us at your hotel in District 1 or at our office.
Enjoy the picturesque and peaceful scenery on the 2-hour drive from Saigon center to Cu Chi District. We will pass the green, lush, endless rice fields stretching, ducks and water buffaloes swimming in the channels and rivers in Cu Chi District. Who can image that this area was almost completely destroyed by a large ammounts of mines and bombs in Vietnam war without seeing the scenery with his own eyes.
Upon your arrival in Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Duoc), you start explore the historic site. It’s time to learn more about Vietnam history through documentary films, walk around and see some parts of the tunnels, strange weapons threatening the U.S. soldiers and made by Vietcong in the past. You are free to discover hidden corners, special rooms such as meeting rooms, cooking areas, hospitals, sewing rooms. You can also try to cook with the unique “Hoang Cam” smokeless stoves which is the best to hide the smoke from enemies.
Would you like to experience the hard life of resistance soldiers? Crawling through the tunnels, entering the hidden doors of the legendary underground tunnels are some of the most interesting activities at this touristic site.
You can even try foods which the soldiers have eaten. If you feel adventurous enough, you can try your hand at shooting at hAK-47 gun that was used by Vietcong during the resistance war.
Hop on the bus and go back to the city center in the afternoon. Your tour finishes at about 2:30 PM (morning tour) or 7:00 PM (afternoon tour).
