Le Mat is located 10 kilometers east of Hanoi’s city center. To get there, drive a vehicle or motorcycle across the Long Bien or Chuong Duong bridges to Viet Hung ward, where you can find Le Mat Snake Village and sample some of the city’s unique cuisine.
Most people associate Vietnamese food with Pho (beef noodle soup), Nem (spring rolls), or Banh Mi (sandwiches). These are undoubtedly our traditional foods, but there are also many additional ones to try, including something unique, intense, and intriguing: snake. Snake flesh has a distinct, singular flavor and a somewhat chewy texture that will guarantee a novel eating experience. Our skilled, experienced, and professional chefs will prepare ten different meals for you using just the snake flesh, such as deep-fried snake skin, grilled snake, stir-fried snake with vegetables, and snake soup.
However, a tour with snake cuisine is undoubtedly unusual and has a distinctive method to enjoy it. We will provide the snake’s heart, which is best eaten raw and uncooked, along with a shot of snake wine if you consider yourself to be brave when it comes to food and drink (Vietnamese rice wine mixed with snake blood, stirred with lemongrass to ensure a strong flavor).
About three hours will pass throughout the excursion. After you’ve sampled every meal on the menu, you may visit the snake farm to see how the snakes are cared for, fed, and taught by local professionals. You can also see some of the largest bottles of King Cobra snake wine in Vietnam.
