Day 01: HCM – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (Meal: L)
On the first day, start your journey with an 8:30 AM pick-up from your hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Then reach My Tho city by bus/car/van. On the way, you will learn more about the cultures of the local people in Mekong Delta and enjoy the beautiful scenery of green/yellow rice fields, lush orchards and rivers. Arriving in My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda known as the biggest pagoda in Mekong Delta region.
Continue the trip in My Tho, take an interesting boat trip along Mekong River, see floating houses, fish cages, boats in different sizes and local people on the river. Go from big to small rivers and finally small canals and totally escape the hustle and bustle town. The coconut island in Ben Tre is our next stop.
Disembark, walk around, explore the quiet and peaceful village before visiting a local family where you enjoy fresh seasonal fruits, taste homemade sweet honey tea, honey wine. One of the most interesting parts is listening to Vietnamese traditional music, performed by the hospitable villagers.
Continue walking on the village’s dirt road to reach a coconut candy shop and factory where you learn how Ben Tre people make delicious candies and see some handicrafts from different parts of coconut trees. Have a walk through the village and see with your own eyes colorful flowers, fruits, trees, and local houses made from leaves, straws, ground,… Take your fresh breath, take nice photos while admiring the natural scenery.

Afterwards, roam through the village, explore fruit orchards and a rice noodle factory. Take the boat trip to a local restaurant for lunch before driving back to Ho Chi Minh City.
