Itinerary of Luxury Cu Chi Tunnels Half Day Tour (Ben Duoc)
The Cu Chi tunnels (BEN DUOC) are located approximately 70 km from Ho Chi Minh city center. Our tour departs at 8:00 am (morning tour) or 12:45 (afternoon tour). Let’s meet us at our office or from your hotel in district 1.
Enjoy the beautiful and peaceful scenery along the way, as we pass the green, lush, endless rice fields in Cu Chi District. You can even see the ducks and water buffaloes swimming in the channels and rivers. You might be surprised to know that this area was almost completely destroyed by mines and bombs in the Vietnam war.
Upon the arrival, you will have a great chance to learn about the history through documentary films, walk through some parts of the tunnels, see some weapons used by Vietcong soldiers in the past, discover the hidden corners. One of the most interesting things is the hard life of resistance soldiers. You can also try to cook with the unique “Hoang Cam” smokeless stoves used by Vietnamese soldiers to cook during the war. You can even try foods which the soldiers lived on. If you’re feeling brave, or curious, and adventurous, you are welcome to try your hand at shooting at AK-47 gun that was used during the resistance war.
Return back to the city in the afternoon. Your tour finishes at about 2:30 PM.
