Detailed Itinerary of Mekong Delta Tour 4 days 3 nights
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Can Tho (L/D)
Our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City at about 8:00 am and you will embark on a 2-hour drive to Cai Be. Next, a small boat will be ready to take you along canals to visit their islands with some handicraft villages and the ancient house on two banks of the Mekong River as well as enjoy Đờn ca tài tử (Southwestern amateur music) show – one of the unique cultural values of this region. In the afternoon, you will move to Tan Phong Island and eat your lunch there.
After lunch, you will continue floating on a sampan wandering small creeks among islands and enjoy the fresh cool air, and peaceful landscapes with many lush fresh orchards along the banks. During this one-hour boat trip, you will surely have nice photos and enjoy fresh fruit as much as you can, then disembark to come back to Can Tho City.
You will arrive in Can Tho, after checking in your hotel, you will be free to discover the city after dinner. You will overnight in Can Tho.

Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market (B/L/D)
The second day of this Mekong Delta tour will offer you the most interesting experience that you have not had before – trading on the river. You should get up early for breakfast, and then our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and lead you to Ninh Kieu Wharf, where you will get on a sampan to visit Cai Rang Floating Market.
Let the vast of fruit, the bustling atmosphere, the sounds of hand rowing boats and trading activities, and the traffic on the river show you how interesting Cai Rang floating market is. Especially, you can also join the trading activities by buying some styles of fresh fruits, and you can choose and bargain for whatever you want like a real local person. After that, the sampan will take you along small creeks to visit large lush orchards.
At noon, you will come back to the wharf and lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Can Tho.
Our guide will take you to a local house in Can Tho in the afternoon. There, you will have an opportunity to become a real farmer by joining the locals’ daily activities consisting of going through monkey bridges, catching crabs and fish, and picking coconuts,… Or if you want to, you will be able to take a bike and freely discover the surroundings and talk with locals to learn more about their life and culture. Day 3: Can Tho – Chau Doc (B/L/D)
After breakfast, you will visit Chau Doc after a 3-hour drive and spend all your day exploring this beautiful and friendly commune. First, you will take a boat trip floating along villages of Cham people on two river banks and learn more about their traditional silk weaving job.
Next, you will go on moving to Chau Giang to visit the biggest mosque in the Cham community. In the afternoon, your next stops are a Khmer temple, a floating fish farm, and Sam Mountain respectively. Prepare your camera to take photos of the sunset moment from this mountain’s peak.
You will spend your night at a local hotel Chau Doc.
