During the day – Must-see tourist attractions in District 1 and Saigon China Town
You will arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport (or Saigon Railway station) and be picked up by our licensed and polite driver. The private car takes you to the hotel where you will leave your luggage. After that, you will be served a light meal with the best Banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) if you have not had breakfast. Next, we will explore District 1 which is considered the center of Ho Chi Minh City. Many must-visit tourist attractions in Saigon are located in District 1. Ben Thanh Market is not only a place to admire the unique architecture and learn more about the market culture but also a place to buy dried food such as dried pork, pork floss, dried beef, dried fishes, dried squids, dried fruits, candied fruits, nuts, ground roasted coffee, coffee beans, tea, bird nests, handicrafts, ready-to-wear and tailored Ao Dai, fabrics, Ao Dai fabrics, jewelry, watches, T-shirts, bracelets, paintings, cards, conical hats,… It is a great chance for you to buy food and souvenirs to bring home. You can also buy souvenirs at Saigon Central Post Office and War Remnants Museum.

At night – Cyclo ride, Water puppet show, and Dinner on cruise
At 18:00, we will pick you up at your hotel. A cyclo rider will take you around the city, it will be a unique experience sitting on three-wheel vehicle and seeing everything on the streets. The speed is slow so you will enjoy every moment and feel like living more slowly.
Upon your arrival at the Golden Dragon Theater, you will watch the unique and cultural Water Puppet Show with traditional Vietnamese folk music and the amazing performance showcasing the skillful puppetry that brings legends and folk tales to life on the decorated beautifully water stage. The show lasts 45 minutes and audiences will not only enjoy a puppetry show but also learn more about Vietnamese culture, folk music, water puppetry, Vietnam’s countryside, and unique lifestyle.
Leaving the theater, we will head to the wharf where you will board on a beautiful cruise and be served a set menu (or buffet). The cruise will take you along Saigon River to see the colorful and stunning city at night. Bitexco Financial Tower, Landmark 81, Times Square, and other buildings are lit with colorful lights. The river breeze and traditional Vietnamese and ethnic music shows are the highlights of the trip.
At 21:15, the cruise will return to the wharf and you will be transferred back to your hotel.
If you would like to chill out after the tour, we can drop you off at Bui Vien Street – one of the craziest, most hustle and bustle street with many bars and pubs. There are other options such as craft beer places, live music bars and cafes.

Day 2 (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
In the morning – the legendary 250-km Cu Chi Tunnels
You will have breakfast at your hotel and be ready for the tour to the countryside, an old battle field which was also called steel land during the wars against the French, the U.S. and the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam).
At 8:00, our tour guide and driver will be at the hotel and ready to pick you up for one of the must-see historical sites in the city. It takes about 1,5 hours to reach the tunnels from the city center and you will enjoy the beautiful sites, nice villages, rubber plantations, rice fields, rice paper workshops, markets,… Upon your arrival at Ben Dinh site, you will walk around to learn more about the structure of the tunnels, watch a documentary film about the history of Vietnam, wars, and Cu Chi Tunnels. You will be introduced some handmade bamboo and wooden traps used by Vietcong soldiers to injure and kill the enemies. You will visit sleeping quarter, dinning areas, sewing rooms, a small rubber shoes “factory”, kitchens, clinics. It is interesting to see the smokeless stove invented by Hoang Cam – an intelligent and brave chef and soldier. Bomb craters and evidence of war crimes, old weapons such as tanks, airplane fragments, bullets, guns can be seen at the tunnels. You will also try entering a very small entrance to the tunnels and learn how to camouflage it after entering. Crawling some safe parts of the tunnels is worth doing. It is a great chance to fire a gun at the shooting field under the instruction of an expert.
We will have lunch a local restaurant after visiting Cu Chi Tunnels – the extraordinary underground city.
2 Days 1 Night Ho Chi Minh City Package Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels
In the afternoon – free time
At 13:00 – 14:00, you will return to your hotel and take a rest. After that, you will spend your free time exploring the city, visiting favorite places, going shopping. In Ho Chi Minh City, there are many great art and historical museums, a 20 ha zoo and botanical garden, observation decks on Bitexco Tower and Landmark 81 – the tallest buildings in Vietnam, markets selling affordable and high quality souvenirs, clothes, and many other items.

At 17:00, we will pick you up at your hotel or any place in the city center. Then we will start the tour in District 3,10,11,4,… to see more about Saigon. In fact, most tourists are stuck in District 1 and do not know anything about other districts where the majority of local people live. On the way, we will stop at different local eateries to enjoy delicious Vietnamese food, especially exotic Saigon street food.
The first stop is Thich Quang Duc Memorial dedicated to a heroic monk lit himself on fire to protest Ngo Diem Diem’s regime but his heart remained intact and did not burn. Ho Thi Ky Flower Market and a hustle and bustle night food food market are worth visiting to see how they sell and buy flowers, go out and eat at night. Walking around old apartment buildings since 1968 to learn more about the local life which is totally different from the life in the luxurious District 1. Eating in alleys is excited and surprising. In addition, we will not miss District 4 – the island district in Ho Chi Minh City with many good restaurants and street food stalls. You will eat snail and seafood there and we hope that you will enjoy specialty food of Saigon.
