Itinerary of Luxury Mekong Delta Tour Floating Market 2 Days

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho City – Ben Tre City – Can Tho City (Lunch)

Day 1 begins with an 8:30 AM (departure time is at your choice) pick-up from Phu My Port. Then we hop on the A/C car, get to My Tho City. Take a rest, see the beautiful and green sights, learn about the customs of the locals while being driven. After approximately 3 hours, we arrive at Vinh Trang Pagoda – the oldest, largest and the holiest pagoda in the Tieng Giang Province as well as the entire Mekong Delta.

After that, we will be transferred to the pier where we take an amazing boat trip. Floating homes and fish nets, buffalos, ducks, fishermen, people on big and small boats are worth seeing. It’s time to leave the crowded city of My Tho to reach small quiet villages and see houses appearing and disappearing alternately in lush orchards.

We reach a green island that is full of coconut trees and fruit trees in Ben Tre Province. You have a big chance to walk around, explore the village, and visit a local family to interact with the host, eat some fresh fruits, sip some honey tea, and honey wine. One of the most interesting parts is listening to the Vietnam traditional music – “Don Ca Tai Tu”. Next, we stop at a coconut candy workshop and learn how to make some handcrafted items from coconut palms and how coconut candy is made.

After exploring the island, we have time to enjoy a delicious lunch, the food and drinks are served by local people at a lovely restaurant in a village. If we have more time, you can walk or ride a bicycle around and see more things.

We were transferred to Can Tho City, and spend the night there.

At dinner time, we will go to a local restaurant in Can Tho to fill our stomach with amazing local food.

Day 02: Can Tho City – Phu My Port (Breakfast – Lunch)

Take a leisurely boat ride to discover the Lower Mekong river’s beautiful tributaries after breakfast. Visit the famous and unique Cai Rang floating market, enjoy the stunning surroundings and see how local people work. After that, you can explore the hamlet and stop at a workshop where they make rice noodles as well as a nice fruit garden. It’s time to leave Can Tho City, we stop on the way to have lunch before arriving at Phu My Port.
