10:00 Arrival at My Tho – Toum Tiou sets anchor near Thoi Son Island in a waterway.

Tourists go to My Tho, which means “fragrant herb,” on the banks of a northern arm of the Mekong to experience the splendor of the delta. A city of roughly 100,000 people, it is peaceful and rich and is renowned for its numerous gardens, orchards, and surrounding vast rice fields. All year long, the weather is mild and pleasant.

One of Vietnam’s most lavish gardens may be found in the nearby countryside, complete with coconut palms, banana trees, and mango trees.

Toum Tiou is being approached by neighborhood boats that will pick up people and transport them to the mainland.

Koh Chen is where the Toum Tiou departs towards Kompong Tralach. On board, lunch is provided. We go to Kampong Tralach to see the magnificent Wat Kampong Tralach Leu pagoda. Back in Toum Tiou we go. After dinner, the cruise liner moors for the night.

Due to its isolation and challenging access, the town is almost entirely unnoticed by visitors. However, it is entirely self-sufficient. Everything is on the water, including a floating school, ice-making facilities for fish preservation, churches, pagodas, gas stations, pigsty, shops, boat or television repair services, video clubs, karaoke bars, and police stations. Everyone, from young children to grandparents, travels by boat across the town’s network of canals, and all trades are represented.

At 18:01, passengers board again. In close proximity to Chnok Tru, the Toum Tiou spends the night.
