Itinerary of Ha Giang Motorcycle 4 Days Tour

Day 1: Ha Giang – Bac Sum pass – Heaven Gate – Nam Dam Village Lung Tam Valley – Handicraft village – Quan Ba – Yen Minh

At 8.00 am, our Ha Giang Easy Rider Team will pick you up at your hotel, hostel, homestay, or bus station, at any meeting point in Ha Giang.

At 8.15 am, we will start our excursion. We will ride uphill to Bac Sum Pass, and go up to the top where we can see a panorama view of the landscape and valley, where you can see the hidden villages of ethnic minority people groups.

Then our tour will ride up to the Heaven Gate in Tam Son over 1200 m above sea level where you can see the most spectacular landscape with the limestone mountain, huge and deep valley.

We will continue to ride to the viewpoint to see Twins Hill, and visit a clay house village of Nam Dam where there is 100% of Dao ethnic minority live. Here you will learn about the local culture and the architecture of their houses built with clay. we will spend around 2,5 hours in this village and you will go for a walk around the village, then have lunch with some local food cooked by a local family.

We will keep going down to the village to visit a family where they are making handicrafts and weaving clothes. we will continue to drive our motorbike along the river up to Yen Minh where we will stay overnight. On the way to Yen Minh, we will drive past many back roads to see the most spectacular landscape and some secret villages. Stopping over at the loop top, we will see an overview of the valley, then we will arrive at Yen Minh Town and stay at the homestay where we will enjoy dinner.

Day 2: Yen Minh – Tham Ma Road – Pao House – Lung Cu Flag Pole – Ma Pi Leng pass – Meo Vac (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will continue our excursion again. Our riders will take about an hour for driving to get to Tham Ma Road with 9 step road, where we will stop for amazing pictures. After that, we will continue to ride our motorbike up to visit Pao’s house which is hundreds of years old, where you will learn lots of history and stories about the area. We will continue to ride up to visit Lung Cu Flag Pole, where you see the border area between Vietnam and China. The views are splendid and huge from the flag pole or observing point for looking out. Then we will have time to visit a village called Lo Lo Chai where there is a small group of the ethnic minority Lo Lo. We will get to see the traditional houses built with clay… and we will have lunch at a local restaurant.

Then we will continue the ride to Dong Van Town and stop for a cup of coffee at the old quarter, also where you will learn about the tradition and history of the town.

In the afternoon, around 2 pm, we will ride to Ma Pi Leng Pass. You will have a chance to see the deepest valley, which is the most beautiful and spectacular view in Vietnam from the mountains. Between the cliffs, you can see a unique Nho Que River, we will stop at the panorama viewpoint to enjoy a cup of coffee and enjoy the view.

In the late afternoon, we will ride to Meo Vac to stay overnight and have lunch at a homestay in the complex of Hmong house architecture.

Day 3: Meo Vac – Mau Due- Duong Thuong Valley – Du Gia village (B,L,D).

After breakfast, you will check out the room and the guide and driver will take you to see many different kinds of views such as a fishing lake, and rice terraced fields. We can hike in the villages of Dao and Tay ethnic minority people…

In the late afternoon, you will stay at the homestay in Du Gia Village and communicate with a local family. You will have an opportunity to learn the culture, and customs of the people who live here. We will have dinner with the homestay family and spend the night here (If we come early in the summertime, we will go to swing at the waterfall).

Day 4: Du Gia – Duong Thuong Valley road – Khe Mang road – Terrace rice paddies Valley – Bac Me – Ha Giang

In the morning, you will go downhill to come back to Ha Giang City. On the way, the guide will help you visit a very famous and outstanding village where you can see the spectacular landscape and see the jungle area. From far away, you can see a beautiful waterfall and we will ride through the valley where there are beautiful terraces. On the way back to Ha Giang, we also stop to see many traditional villages.

Note: (On the last day, we can be flexible to arrange to transfer back to Hanoi early if you need).
