Itinerary of Ha Giang Motorcycle 5 Day Tour
Day 1: Ha Giang – Ban Me – Cao Banh – Tha village – Ha Thanh
In the early morning, Departing from Ha Giang town, we will go to Ban Me, a beautiful village of the Tay ethnic group. After that, we will climb up a mountain to come to Cao Banh on buffalo trails. On top of the mountain, you can admire the panorama of Ha Giang City and the small villages around. On the top is a village of the Dao People, one of the ethnic minorities in Vietnam. Here you will have beautiful photographs of rice fields, mountains, Dao girls in traditional costumes. After lunch, you will glaze on the forest path to another village of the Tay people. If it is a hot day you, will be able to swim in the waterfall then you will overnight in a traditional stilt house of Tay people right next to it. You will enjoy the traditional food of local for dinner as well as talking with family, and drinking the corn liqueur, which will make you have an enjoyable evening.
Day 2: Ha Thanh – Bac Me Town – La village (85km)
After breakfast, leaving the home-stay, you will have about 3 hours trekking to another village of Tay people. From there you will take the motorcycle to drive to Bac Me District. On the way, you will admire the beauty of the jungle and rice fields and top to have lunch in a small local restaurant. After lunch, you will continue to La village, which is a village of Tay tribe, very beautiful and peaceful. It is a village in Ha Giang that retains the traditional beauty of stilt houses, traditional costumes, and their own language…very typical, without the color of tourism development. you will be able to go for a walk around the village before dinner. Overnighting with Tay’s family in there.
Day 3 : Village – Meo Vac – Dong Van (125km)
After breakfast, leaving the homestay, you will take a motorcycle to enter to center of Dong Van karst plateau geopark. On the way, you will stop to visit some villages of white Hmong people. You will take a rest in Meo Vac Town before taking the motorcycle to drive to Dong Van via Ma Pi Leng Pass. This is the most beautiful pass in Vietnam, with majestic landscape… and the deepest valley in Southeast Asia. overnighting in Dong Van old quarter.
Day 4: Dong Van – Yen Minh – Nam Dam village (100km)
After breakfast, you will spend about 3 hours trekking to the villages around Dong Van rocky highland. You will then back Dong Van Town and take the motorcycle to drive to Quan Ba Town via Yen Minh Town. On the way, you will stop to visit some villages of white Hmong people, the Vuong’s family palace (Hmong King palace), and a very beautiful mountain landscape.
About 6 pm, you will arrive at Nam Dam, a beautiful village and traditional Dao people. you will get to enjoy the traditional local food for dinner as well as talking, and drinking the corn liqueur with family, which will make you have an enjoyable evening.
Day 5: Nam Dam village – Quan Ba – Ha Giang City
After breakfast, you will have half-day trekking around Nam Dam village, a beautiful and traditional village of Dao people. In the afternoon, you will take the motorbike to visit the peaceful town of Tam Son (Quan Ba) with the Fairy Twin Mountain, Lung Khuy Cave (the most beautiful caves of Ha Giang), Bac sum pass…
After back to Ha Giang city, you will be able to stay one more night in Ha Giang City or go to Ha Noi by sleeping bus.
