Long Phuoc Tunnels

Located in Long Phuoc Commune, 7 km northeast of Ba Ria Town center. Due to its important military strategic position, Long Phuoc used to be the area of fierce disputes between 2 opposing factions during the Vietnamese war. It is here that the famous tunnel system was formed. The Long Phuoc tunnel system was restored in April 1963 and developed into a solid continuous position. The tunnels are dug to a depth of 6 m, the backbone line is 0.70-0.80 m wide, 1.6-1.8 m high, there are many doors and vents for many battle mounds.

Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve

The reserve covers a natural area of more than 10,537 hectares. It is located in the system of special-use forests of Vietnam, it serves research, scientific experiment, conservation education, entertainment, and organization of ecotourism activities. There is about 43 km of rivers – lakes – streams that usually have water all year round. To the northeast, there is Binh Chau hot mineral spring, especially with a temperature of 60-80 degrees Celsius. You can choose Oyster rafts in the middle of rivers and canals such as Hai Luu Oyster raft (nearest), Nam Thang Oyster raft, Small Male Oyster raft… Park your car in the raft’s yard, there is a boat pick you up and drop you off (about 15 minutes), clean and cool raft will be an interesting experience.

Seafood Restaurant

  • Phuong Trang Seafood Restaurant Loc An Ba Ria: Located right on the coastal road, close to Loc An resort. How to get to & from Ho Tram?

Ho Tram is about 30 km from Vung Tau tourist city, about 120 km from Ho Chi Minh City.

If traveling by motorbike, you go in the direction: Highway 51 -> to Ba Ria Vung Tau in the direction of National Highway 55 -> to Xuyen Moc -> from Ba To market (Phuoc Buu town, Xuyen Moc) – having direction only to Ho Tram – Ho Coc.

If traveling by car, it only takes about 2 – 2.5 hours. You go in the direction: National Highway 51 -> go to Ho Chi Minh – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway -> continue on National Highway 51 to DT44B -> Follow Vo Van Kiet to Xuyen Moc Beach.

Notes when traveling to Ho Tram

Traveling to Ho Tram in the peak seasons is often out of rooms, you should book a hotel or resort room as soon as possible. In addition, there are a few things you should keep in mind:

  • Ho Tram beach often has reefs, you should only swim within the allowed range.
  • Bring sunscreen, hat/wide-brimmed hat to avoid the sun.
