Itinerary of Luxury Mekong Delta Tour by Speedboat
8:00 am: Our talented and experienced guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel in District 1. Be transfer to the pier by car and hop on your boat.
8:15 am: The boat departs and you slip away from downtown Ho Chi Minh City through some narrow canals and enter Mekong Delta verdant green tributaries of . A light breakfast of pastries or sandwiches, fresh seasonal fruits and Vietnamese iced coffee with/without condensed milk (Ca phe sua da) will be served. Your guide explains to you lots of information about the tour, including rural traditions and aspects of riverbank life.
8:45 am: Stop at the overwater Tuong Van Pagoda, listen to the guide explaining the importance of Buddhism to Mekong Delta people.
9:30 am: Visit a crowded colorful riverside market which is full of local curiosities, fresh tropical fruits and all manner of animals.
10:30 am: Head to idyllic watery expanses of the Mekong Delta which is known as the Delta of Nine Dragons thanks to the 9 tributaries that splinter from the main Mekong River.
10:45 am : Cruise into small, zig zag and winding canals of the Thu Thua area, lined with green trees. Enjoy a short rowboat trip along small canals where you see thousands of coconut palms. Stop at a quaint Mekong village, a traditional farmhouse, sample coconut water and Mekong whisky.
Walk along the banks of the rivers and canals, reach a traditional rural Vietnamese house where 3 generations live, interact with local people and learn more about the unique culture.
12:30 pm: Enjoy a Mekong Delta lunch of delicious dishes at a local pagoda cooked by our private chef. Afterwards, visit an orphanage run by Buddhist monks.
1:30 pm: Visit the sacred and peaceful Cao Dai Temple with beautiful architecture and learn more about Caodai religion.
2:15 pm: Be transferred back to the speedboat and depart for Saigon.
4:00 pm: Head to Saigon. Les Rives team will return you to your hotel or any requested location in District 1 by car.
