Detailed Itinerary of Mekong Delta 2 Day Tour – Culture Experience

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be (L/D)

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel at about 8:00 and you will then head for Cai Be. The local guide at Cai Be will welcome you with fresh fruits from the Mekong River region.

After that, you will get on the boat to Cai Be Floating Market for discovering the river life of the Mekong River people. While the boat travels along the river, you will have an occasion to observe locals in their daily activities.

We will transfer to the rowing boats to visit the Mekong River canals and back to the boat to return to Tan Phong Island for checking in your resort and enjoying lunch with local specialties.

Boat trip through small canals on Mekong Delta 2 Day Tour

Once finishing lunch, we will continue discovering Tan Phong Island by cycle. We will stop at a local’s house to visit their vegetable garden and orchards. Afterward, you will definitely enjoy your time catching fish with your hands in the small canals. Particularly, lucky tourists who succeed in catching fish can be offered the grilled fish there.

In the late afternoon, you will spend time preparing some local dishes with the resort’s chefs and enjoy dinner.

Day 2: Cai Be – Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)

After breakfast at Tan Phong, you will then join a cycling tour to the local morning market to enjoy its bustling atmosphere. Leaving the market, we continue cycling to the house of a local Don Ca Tai Tu (a music kind of the Mekong Delta) artist listening to the history of this special traditional art music as well as enjoying some songs performed by local amateur artists. Following, you will visit the bonsai garden to learn how to grow bonsai, and surely the owner will explain to you the meaning of each bonsai tree.

After that, you will back to Tan Phong Island for a short rest before checking out. you will enjoy the last lunch at Tan Phong and prepare luggage to return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.
