Detailed Itinerary of Mekong Delta Tour by Speedboat

Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the pier, preparing for the trip on the speedboat. Afterward, the boat will depart from downtown Ho Chi Minh City and weave via narrow canals, and then enter the verdant tributaries of the Mekong Delta region. A light breakfast will be also served on board.

We will then have a brief stop at Tuong Van Pagoda listening to the tour guide explain the significance of Buddhism to the Delta’s residents. Next, we continue visiting a bustling riverside market where there are full of local tropical fruits and all local fish and shellfish and come to the tranquil waterlogged region of the Delta River.

At about 10:45, we go on a boat to Thu Thua area. Right here, depending on the route, you can choose one in two options to have clear observation of life in the Mekong Delta region.

Option 1: We will visit a traditional riverside house where the host is raising huge Burmese pythons as pets, an antiquated Mekong village, and surrounding lush paddy field, and then a traditional farmhouse where you’ll drink coconut juice and Mekong whisky.

Option 2: We will visit a local trader and try a range of local Mekong specialties. Next, we will walk along the river banks to a traditional rural Vietnamese house where 3 generations are living closely together before exploring a captivating village where you can try fresh coconuts from the tree.
