You will be picked up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and taken to My Tho City and Ben Tre Province in the Mekong River Delta by my our tour guide around 8 AM . You can enjoy a full-day activity tour in My Tho and Ben Tre with watching beautiful scenery and eating specialties of the Mekong Delta.
The first sightseeing spots of the One-Day Mekong Delta Tour are the floating fish farms and markets on 4 Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise and Phoenix islets. A rowboat will take you through narrow streams between water coconut lines before you go by bicycle about 12 km through coconut gardens and along village paths to have a deeper look of the beautiful scenes.
After that, you will get to be guide to the small village, where you can witness daily lives of locals, and stop to visit residents’ houses or workshops to learn how they make coconut cakes and banana candies and eat those local specialties. You can try walking across the unique Monkey Bridge, a slender bamboo bridge used in the Mekong Delta to cross small rivers or canals , to see locals making rice wine and rice paper cakes.
You will get to have unique Mekong dishes for lunch before coming back to My Tho City and go on to transfer to Ho Chi Minh City. The trip will finish at about 6 PM.
