Itinerary of Saigon Farmer & Master Chef Tour Full Day
Be picked up at 7:30am at your hotel in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. It takes around 45 minutes to one hour on the A/C Car and you have time to see the beautiful sight and listen to the guide providing information about Cu Chi, cooking class,… We troll into a local market with lots of new and interesting things, including varieties fresh fruits, vegetables, mushroom, fresh seafood, animals. You see and meet friendly and generous local sellers and do some activities that most of the tourists stucked in Saigon center miss on their trips. We spend around 45 minutes at the market, leave at about 9:40am.
We head to rice paper factory, learn how workers make rice paper and be surprised to know the main ingredients for making rice paper. The next stop is a local cow farm where you try to milk the cow, understand the whole process of growing animals in Vietnam. For more information, Cu Chi is known as the kingdom of cow and Cu Chi cow meat is high quality and tasty.
Continue the journey by driving to HCM Cooking School – HCM organic farm. At around 10:30am, our team warmly welcome you and you start discovering the farm with fresh tropical fruits, sip some Aroma Weasel coffee with fresh milk that you collected from local cow farm. We hope this would be the best cup of Vietnamese coffee that you never try in your life.
Now it’s time to become a real Vietnamese farmer. Wear a nice concical hat, hold a pair of scissors and basket in your hands. Troll into the gardens, learn more about herbs, spicy, vegetables, mushroom and fruits. You will know that we use them for not only cooking but as medicines. Use your hands to collect all of ingredients for your dishes.
After finish harvesting the herbs, spices, vegetables, fruits and mushroom, you learn about rice cultivation. The guide tell you how to make rice paddies and the whole process to grow rice and harvet it. At around 11:30am, we finish the farming part of the tour.
