Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Can Tho (/L/)
Departing at 8:00 AM, from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel, heading to the Mekong Delta by minivan or bus. During the 1.5-hour drive, you will pass through green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho. Your morning trip will continue from here by tourist boat on the Tien River to Tortoise Islet. On the way, you will see the fishing port, boat-building workshops, and the Phoenix Islet, Dragon Islet, and Unicorn Islet.
You will walk into the village, where you can visit a local orchard and enjoy the tropical fruit while listening to tai tu music (Southern Vietnamese folk music) performed by islanders. Here you also can join the daily activities of the locals and immerse in the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside. You will also visit the bee house, and take photos of the pythons. Your lunch will be served right in the center of the orchard.
The tourist boat will transfer you through the Bao Dinh Canal to Ben Tre Province – “the land of coconuts.” Here you will see a typical agricultural model called “Garden – Pond – Cage,” before visiting the coconut candy-making workshop.
Next, you will experience a rowing boat trip on the small canal, fully covered by the shadow of the water coconut trees. After your boat trip, you will take a bike trip around the islet before returning to the minivan. You will arrive in Can Tho City at around 5:00 PM, and check in hotel.

To start the second of this tour, After breakfast at the hotel, at 7:00, you will get on the tourist boat on Can Tho River to discover the picturesque scenery as well as local daily life on both sides of the river in the morning. Then you will see the floating market, rice noodle producing workshop, and orchards. Then the boat will take you back to the boat station.
After the floating market, the guide and driver will transfer you to Rach Gia, arrive at Rach Gia around 12:00 PM, and then start the ferry to Phu Quoc. Simple lunch on the way included.
