Itinerary of Mekong River Cruise Saigon Con Dao 2 days 1 night
We will pick you up at your hotel in Saigon (district 1 and parts of district 3) and will take you back there after your cruise. The drive from HCM City to Cai Be takes about 2 hours.
You will embark on your comfortable cruise boat in Cai Be. After a refreshing welcome drink, we will show you our onboard facilities and your warm cabin. when lunch is served, the boat starts cruising. you will get to watch the fantastic scenery and the daily life of the Mekong Delta people.
In the afternoon, you can disembark for a guided leisurely walk through a village and the surrounding fruit orchards or rice fields. you will get to meet the hospitable locals and taste the local produce and fruits.
You will then embark back on board and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on deck when the sun sets over the magnificent water landscape of the Mekong River. The cruise boat will anchor so that you stay overnight. The day will finish with a delicious onboard dinner. You still stay overnight on board your comfortable cruise boat.

On day 2, you should wake up well rested to the sound of the river and get ready for another interesting day of sightseeing in the Mekong Delta. At 6.30h, the cruise boat sets off for a sunrise cruise. You will get to watch the locals go about their daily work drying exotic fruits and building ships on the wooden yards while enjoying an early breakfast.
After breakfast and check-out, we embark on a sampan to Cai Rang Floating Market, the region’s busiest and most lively floating market. You will surprise at the sheer abundance of exotic fruits, vegetables, and skilfully handcrafted regional products. We will pull up to the boats for talking and bargaining with the sellers.
After the visit to the market, it is time to depart the journey to Con Dao. From Can Tho, we travel by road (about 2h) to Tran De a small port town at the mouth of the Mekong into the ocean and the gateway to Con Dao. You will embark on the speed boat to Con Dao (travel time 2h30). After arrival in Con Dao, a shuttle to the center of Con Dao is available free of charge. For other drop-off locations, we will advise you upon booking/inquiry.

N. B.: The floating markets in the Mekong Delta wholesale markets where produce of the Mekong Delta like fruits and vegetables are traded, not tourist markets. For this reason, the number of boats on the market fluctuates depending on market demand and harvesting seasons.
