3 Day Mekong Delta Tour Cai Thia – Homestay – Vuong Quoc Do – Phuoc Hau – Cai Be
DAY 1: CÁI THIA – AN BÌNH ISLAND – HOMESTAY
The program will start at CáiThia by boat, pass Cai Thia Church, My Luong Communal House. We will continue the journey to see how to make rice paper at the local house. we will take a bike ride in one hour to explore the famous village of Hoa Loc mango on the small beautiful roads. It is so interesting for us to see orchards, traditional houses, and schools in Mekong Delta. We will get to come to a local and peaceful home, here we will be able to create some cakes (local donuts) and taste them with hot tea. After biking, we will come back Cai Thia village. We will go boating and enjoy the best lunch on the boat while the boat will be towards An Binh Island.
Upon arrival, we will check in Ut Trinh homestay, and make friends with the local family. We will take relax with a fresh shower or some cold drinks. We will try cooking local dishes with the owners. After that, we will enjoy dinner and have a cup of tea or rice wine. Overnight in a private room of the homestay.
DAY 2: HOMESTAY – VƯƠNG QUỐC ĐỎ – PHƯỚC HẬU – HOMESTAY
We will enjoy breakfast before having an exciting excursion. We will take a boat along the Mekong River. we will turn into Mỹ An canal to see many brick kilns on both banks of the canal. Upon Hòa Tịnh canal, we will walk in the peaceful village to see how they make bricks and wave bamboo trays & baskets…
Also, we will visit the Vinhlong Market in the town. This is the best choice for you to take photos of shrimps, fish, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables…
Then, we will take the boat ride downstream of The Mekong River, seeing many floating cages for farming fish. The optional lunch will be able to be served on board or at a local house.
After lunch, we will come to visit the brick kilns where you will be able to see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Then, We will come back Út Trinh / Út Quỳnh / Út Bình homestay.
We will have fun in the mud to catch fish by hand. Then, we will have a fresh shower before cooking pancakes / BBQ our mudfish with the family. We will enjoy dinner &and overnight at the homestay.
DAY 3: HOMESTAY – TÂN PHONG – CÁI BÈ
We will have an early breakfast and pay a fast visit to Cai Be Floating Market. Next, we will take a rowing boat ride deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy a peaceful time. Also, we will travel to Tân Phong island, biking / walking on village paths will be so interesting to see the local farms, traditional houses, real life in Mekong Delta.. where we will be able to see how they wave the dried water-hyacinth to make many products: bags, baskets, hats, wallets, shoes… The cruise will finish at Cai Be town (#11:00 AM).
