Located at the crossroads of Pham Ngoc Thach and Le Duan Streets and next to the beautiful French architectural Notre Dame Cathedral and Saigon Central Post Office, Diamond Plaza Shopping Mall is one of the biggest, most famous, luxurious and beautiful shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh City. Buildings of Diamond Plaza

Opened for business in August 2000, Diamond Plaza comprises of 2 buildings: a 22-story building and a 15-story building. It is known as the safest buildings in Vietnam, with automatic management system, digital fire alarm and telecommunication system.

The buildings serves as shopping malls, cinema lounges, restaurants, coffee shops, hospital, gyms, swimming pool on 14th floor, serviced apartments, offices, helicopter pad on the roof.

Architecture of Diamond Plaza Complex

It is a great choice of architects to mix modern and ancient architectures. The 4-story base of the 15-story building is influenced by Baroque architecture which was popular in Saigon in the past. The base is located on the corner of two streets Pham Ngoc Thach and Le Duan so that it can be admired from outside at its best. Arched windows and doors, round pillars make it one in the complex of 3 majestic architectural works in the area, with the cathedral and post office. They remind us about an old Saigon, called “Far East’s Pearl”.

The higher part of the 15-story building and the 22-story building have a modern architectural style, with square glass windows which make the construction strong, innovative and forward-looking. The two styles of architectures are blended perfectly, have the ability of connecting the past and the recent, people and buildings, culture and architecture.

The base is in white color and remaining parts have blue glass facade so that they are usually called the blue pearl. It is not only a place to go shopping, entertain, work and stay but also one of the best spots for photos in Ho Chi Minh City.
