Mekong Delta Tour Full Day Small Group
At 7:30 AM, our energic tour guide will welcome you and other tourists at our office or pick you up at your hotel in District 1 – Ho Chi Minh City center. We head to My Tho city by bus, enjoy the picturesque scenery and green/yellow rice paddies stretching too far on the 2.5-hour bus ride.
The first stop is Vinh Trang pagoda – the biggest pagoda in the Mekong Delta region. After calming yourself in the peaceful garden and admire the architecture of the old pagoda, we take an interesting boat trip along the Mekong River and see lots of strange things including fish cages, floating houses, fruit orchards, buffalos, ducks,…
From the big river, we cruise into a small canal, enjoy the perfect green scenery, escape the noisy and busy town. We disembark at a coconut island in Ben Tre province. There, you enjoy an amazing walk around the village, stop at a local family home, sample some tropical fruits, taste some refreshing honey tea, try homeade honey wine. Villagers perform Vietnamese traditional music and you will learn more about unique Mekong Delta culture and let the soul fly into the melody.
Our next stop is a coconut candy shop where to see candy making process, and learn about the way local people make handicrafts from the different parts of coconut trees.
There are lots of things to do: taking nice photos, see the natural scenery, enjoying fresh air. Then, we head to a local restaurant to have lunch with special Vietnamese foods like locals
After lunch, continue relaxing, walking around the quiet village, or simply going for a short bike ride.
Travel back to Ho Chi Minh City and arrive at your hotel at around 5.00 PM. Time to say goodbye. End of the tour.
