Ingredients for Pickled shallot

Purple onion: 500 gr

White sugar: 100 gr

Vinegar: 50 ml

Salt: 3 tbsp

How to make Pickled shallot?

Buy purple onions, peel them and wash with cold water, drain. Mix 1 liter of water, sugar, vinegar, salt, and boil. When the mixture is boiling, turn off the cooking-stove and let the mixture cool. Clean the glass jar with boiling water, put the purple onion in the jar. Pour the water cooked above until the onions are fully covered. Cover the jar of onion, after about 7 days can eat. You can eat with banh chung and Tet dishes.
