2 Days Saigon Cai Be Can Tho Saigon on Le Cochinchine Cruise: Arrive at the Cai Be pier. Transfer by junk to a luxurious traditional house that used to be the imperial residence. The descendants of the family of Kiet will greet you and offer you tea with tasty samples of tropical fruits.

Day 1: Saigon – Cai Be – Mang Thit – Tra On

Activities: Embark the Le Cochinchine, travel ashore by bicycle or foot, and then cruise to Tra On

Morning

7:30-8:00 AM, Our driver will pick you up at your Saigon hotel and take you to where the cruise starts.

10h30-11h00 AM: Arrive at the Cai Be pier. Transfer by junk to a luxurious traditional house that used to be the imperial residence. The descendants of the family of Kiet will greet you and offer you tea with tasty samples of tropical fruits. We’ll be able to walk through the orchard. Continue to the villages where rice and coconut are used to make things like rice alcohol, puffed rice cakes, rice paper, and sweets made from coconut milk.

12h00: Getting on the boat Le Cochinchine, getting a drink as a welcome. As the boat heads toward Co Chien, lunch is served on board. During the cruise, you’ll have a chance to look at the beautiful, natural scenery along the river.

Afternoon

We walk or ride our bikes through the villages in the afternoon. The walk gives us a chance to see green orchards and river activities and, most importantly, to meet people who live in the area.

The boat keeps going in the direction of Tra On as the river goes up. On the upper deck, you can get an aperitif and a foot massage as the sun slowly sets over the river.

If you take a cooking class on the boat, you can try making Pumpkin flowers stuffed with That Lat fish and learn how to cut vegetables for decorating dishes.

Evening

You can enjoy the beauty of the river at night by having dinner and sleeping on board.

Overnight: Le Cochinchine Cruise

Day 2: Tra On – Can Tho – Saigon

Activities: Arrive in Can Tho, look around the Cai Rang market, get off the boat, and head back to Saigon.

Morning

When you wake up early, you can watch the sun rise over the Mekong River and take in the fresh air, birdsong, barge traffic, and bubbling activities of the people who live along the river. While the boat slowly heads toward Can Tho, breakfast is served on board.

Check out of the Le Cochinchine boat, say goodbye to our friendly staff, and we’ll take you to Cai Rang, one of the busiest floating markets in the whole Mekong Delta, on a small boat. People who want to see the best of the Western rivers of Vietnam can’t miss the Cai Rang floating market.

Take a boat ride along the coves where palm trees give shade. You will be able to look at beautiful orchards, local homes, shipbuilding yards, and the busy river industry. Visit an orchard where you can find mango, dragon fruit, kumquat, jackfruit, and other tropical fruits.

At 11:00 AM, the boat will come back and everyone will get off. The cruise ends.
