Day 1: Saigon – Cai Be – Sa Dec

Day 2: Sa Dec – Long Xuyen

Activities: Visit the Sa Dec local market and take in the breathtaking scenery along the Lapvo canals.

Morning:

Breakfast on board.

You will go to a brickworks at the town’s entrance to learn about local culture.

Continue on to the city center to see the bustling Sa Dec market before seeing the remnants of Marguerite Duras, such as the former home of Mr. L’Amant and the girls’ school Trung Vuong, which was established by Marguerite Duras’s mother at the turn of the 20th century.

Find the Caodaism temple, a brand-new religion that originated in South Western Vietnam in 1926, as well as Sa Sec’s flower garden and bonsai, in the center of the town of Sa Dec.

Return to the boat and have lunch there while you sail towards Long Xuyen via Lap Vo’s inverted canal, taking in the stunning landscape along the way—river activities, vegetable and flower cultivation, shrimp traps, and youngsters enjoying the water.

Day 3: Long Xuyen – Nghe An

Activities: Visit the Nghe An village, the Ong Ho Island promenade, and the Long Xuyen floating market.

Morning:

Over breakfast while sailing, the sun rises.

Discover the Long Xuyen market, one of the busiest floating markets in the Mekong Delta, where dozens of small boats are vying for space and barging with one another as their owners try to sell their wares.

Visit the historic home of Ton Duc Thang, Vietnam’s second president after President Saigon, while strolling or cycling through the countryside and villages on the island of Ong Ho to learn about daily life there. You will have the chance to learn about a side of Delta life that few visitors get to see.

Afternoon:

While traveling to the village of Nghe An on our cruise, enjoy lunch on the boat.

Upon arrival, board a local boat for a tour of the Cham handicrafts village and the floating fishing village, where Islam is practiced by the locals.

Evening:

Dinner and overnight on board in Chau Doc.

Day 4: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh

Activities: Take a boat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh and then join a tour of the city to see the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Wats Phnom, and National Museum.

Morning

At 7:30 this morning, a boat will take us from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh. We go down the Mekong River in the boat. It continues to the border between Vietnam and Cambodia (Vinh Xuong), then to the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh. The trip takes about four hours.

Afternoon

Arrival at our hotel in the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. A trip to Phnom Penh is undoubtedly very interesting. It is a vibrant city that gives you a very authentic taste of Asia. We’ll stop by the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, and Wat Phnom.

Evening

Spend the night at the Sunway Hotel or a comparable Phnom Penh hotel.

Day 5: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

Activities: Discover Wat Memorial Monument and the Tonle Sap Lake Floating Village.

Morning

There will be a shuttle from Phompenh airport to Siemriep this morning. Transfer to the hotel after arrival in Siem Reap.

On Tonle Sap Lake, we will go to the Floating Local and enjoy a boat tour to see village life. The Tonle Sap natural marvel provides a window into the long-standing custom of riparian life and the natural beauty of the surrounding area.

Afternoon

Visit WatThmey, also known as the Killing Field, which has a stupa with a unique glass wall that contains the remains of Khmer Rouge victims. Visit the Wat Memorial Monument after that.

You will be taken in a TukTuk, a compact open-sided taxi popular in Cambodia, later this afternoon or early this evening to tour Siem Reap town’s suburb.

Evening

Dinner and overnight accommodations in Siem Reap at the Prince d’Angkor Hotel or a comparable hotel.

Day 6: Angkor Wat

Activities: Visit Angkor Wat’s most well-known temples and the former capital of Angkor Thom.

Morning

Breakfast at hotel.

Visit Ta Prohm, which is encircled by jungle, after seeing Angkor Thom, the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, which King Jayavarman VII built between the late 12th and early 13th century and features 54 towers, the Royal Enclosure, the Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King.

Afternoon

Visit Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world, which is 200 hectares in size and is encircled by a moat and a 1300 x 1500 meter exterior wall.

Evening

At the neighborhood restaurant tonight, Apsara will perform a traditional Khmer folk performance while we eat.

In Siem Reap, spend the night at the Prince d’Angkor hotel or a comparable hotel.
