3 Days Saigon Can Tho Sa Dec Cai Be Saigon on Le Cochinchine Cruise: Explore the orchards, the native river living style on the Mekong Delta, and the locals by walking or cycling along the verdant roads that cut through the farmland and villages.

Day 1: Saigon – Can Tho – Tra On

Activities: Take the Le Cochinchine boat to Tra On and explore the Mekong’s native way of life.

Morning

Transfer from Saigon hotel to ship embarkation at 7:00–7:30 AM with our driver.

Arrival at our dock in Can Tho between 10:30 and 11:00 AM. Travel to the Cai Rang market, one of the busiest floating marketplaces in the whole Mekong Delta, via local boat.

Afternoon

Le Cochine cruises in Tra On. On board, lunch is provided. Enjoy a leisurely trip along the Mekong while taking in the breathtaking landscape.

Explore the orchards, the native river living style on the Mekong Delta, and the locals by walking or cycling along the verdant roads that cut through the farmland and villages.

Returning to our yacht, you may unwind with a foot massage. You will have an aperitif while watching the breathtaking sunset.

Evening

On board, on the Co Chien River near Cho Lach, for dinner and the night.

Overnight: Le Cochinchine Cruise

Day 2: Cai Be – Sa Dec

Activities: Walk through the countryside, take a cruise to Sa Dec, explore Sa Dec’s flower village, and stroll through the village.

Morning

Get up early to see the Mekong River’s magnificent dawn, which is accompanied by bird singing and the motion of the boats that represents the river region’s way of life.

On board, breakfast is provided.

To explore the fruit farm and get to know the locals on the little island in Cai Be, take a stroll or a bike ride through the beautiful foliage.

Return to the boat. While lunch is being served on board, Le Cochinchine sets sail on the Co Chien River in the direction of Sa Dec.

Afternoon

On the banks of the river at the village’s entrance, we will go to a nearby brickyard in the afternoon. The Trung Vuong elementary school, established at the start of the 20th century by the mother of the French author Marguerite Duras, is located in the center of the hamlet and may be reached by bicycle or foot. Continue on to the Cao Dai Temple, Sa Dec’s bonsai garden, and the blooming flower fields.

Before supper, get back on board while sipping an unusual aperitif on the top deck.

You may try making Pumpkin flowers packed with That Lat fish and learn how to chop vegetables for dish decoration by taking a cookery lesson aboard the boat.

Day 3: Cai Be – Saigon

Activities: Visit the handicraft village, the Mekong Lodge & River View Restaurant, and the Cai Be floating market before disembarking and returning to Saigon.

Morning

After breakfast on board, go to the Cai Be to explore.

Transfer to a local boat for a thorough tour of Cai Be, including the floating market, Mr. Ba Kiet’s former home, a lovely flower garden and orchard, and producers of pop-rice, coconut candy, and rice paper. While traveling, try some of the native fruits and desserts.

Before returning you to the beach, the native boat navigates through arroyos and little canals. Around 11:00 AM, get off at Cai Be harbor. End of a lovely voyage.
