    RED SAND DUNES

    Red sand dunes are one of the most unique natural formations of Phan Thiet. Here you can take stunning photos and enjoy a wide range of activities. Located three kilometers north of Mui Ne, there is a red-brown sand beach with gentle slopes, reminiscent of a miniature Middle Eastern desert. If you reach the highest peak, you will be admiring the wonderful sunset view over the ocean. Sand skiing is a popular and fun activity here, the plastic sledges cost about 10,000 to 20,000 VND.

    MUI NE BEACH

    The best time to enjoy this is from November to March when the sky is sunny and the wind is strong. Mui Ne Beach is located in Mui Ne ward, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province. The beach is 15 km long with white sand, gentle waves, and luxury resorts. With no rocks, the most popular activity in Mui Ne Beach is kitesurfing. The north side of Mui Ne Beach is home to many fishing boats, while the south side offers recreational activities such as swimming and water sports.

    MUI NE FISHING VILLAGE

    PO SHANU CHAM TOWERS

    Po Shanu Cham Tower is one of the most precious and important cultural relics of the Champa Kingdom. It sits on a hilltop and overlooks Phan Thiet and the coastline beyond. It dates from the 7th century, and the remaining towers in Phan Thiet show ancient Champa architecture and remind us of a prosperous time of the Champa kingdom.

    FAIRY STREAM

    Suoi Tien is a photography spot in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne thanks to its impressive landscape of red, white, orange, and pink colors. Suoi Tien has clear water flowing out from the Dinh mountain of Ham Tien. One side of Suoi Tien is a mixture of white and red sand dunes. On the other side is a large field with verdant trees, blooming flowers, and coconut groves.

    THE PRINCE’S CASTLE

    Ong Hoang Castle sits atop a hill and overlooks the sea and the countryside of Phan Thiet. Built by the Duke of De Montpensier in 1911, it spans an area of 536 square meters. All that remains today is an old tower and some military bunkers. Just a few meters away are the Po Shanu Cham Towers and the tomb of the Vietnamese poet, Han Mac Tu. Han Mac Tu and his lover Mong Cam had a poetic memory here.

    VAN THUY TU TEMPLE

    Van Thuy Tu Temple was established in 1762 and is the largest and oldest fish shrine in Phan Thiet. Locals believe that whales are benevolent creatures, protecting fishermen from bad weather and dangers at sea. Therefore, Van Thuy Tu Temple is the place to keep the skeletons of more than 100 whales, of which there is the 22m-long whale skeleton which is said to be the largest in Southeast Asia.

    WHITE SAND DUNES

    White Sand Dunes are a rare place in Vietnam. These sand dunes were formed and existed for hundreds of years. The iridescent sand stretches like wild deserts with interesting shapes blown by the wind. In addition, the erosion of sand creates many interesting scenes in these sand dunes. It seems to be endless when walking on the sand dunes. The name White Sand Dunes comes from the color of the sand.

    TA CU MOUNTAIN

    Ta Cu Mountain has 250,000 square meters of lush rainforest, rare wildlife, limestone caves, and ornate Buddhist structures. After an hour’s drive from Mui Ne Town, you can reach the top of the mountain by hiking for two hours through the forest or taking the 10-minute cable car. Perched atop Ta Cu mountain is Linh Son Truong Tho pagoda built in 1879. The main attraction of the pagoda is the 49-meter-long reclining Buddha, hailed as the largest of its kind in Vietnam.
