Case 32 of Coronavirus confirmed in Vietnam

On 10th March 2020, Vietnam confirms the 32nd case of Coronavirus. The patient is 24 years old, hired a private jet to fly from the UK to Vietnam. She is a Vietnamese person who lives in London and was in close contact with Patient 17 – Nguyen Hong Nhung in London.

On 27th February 2020, case 32 attended a party went out with Patient 17.

Four days later, case 32 had a cough but no fever so that she went to a hospital in London and was treated as an outpatient.

On 7th March 2020, the patient had a heavy cough and no fever. Patient 17 was confirmed on the same day, so case 32 went to the hospital again and declare her medical history. She was requested to self-isolate and was not tested for Coronavirus.

Case 32’s family hired a private jet, in which there is an isolation room so that case 32 flew from the UK to Vietnam. The flight arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport in the morning of 9th March.

The Ministry of Ho Chi Minh City received the patient, took her to the field hospital in Cu Chi Suburban District. Her sample was taken and tested, she was confirmed to be positive for Coronavirus.

Until the afternoon of 9th March 2020, she is treated in the Hospital for Tropical Diseases of Ho Chi Minh City, has a fever, sore throat and cough. She is able to breathe for herself.

In the afternoon of 9th March 2020, patient 32 had a severe dry cough and fever, had a pain in her chest. Her lung is damaged.
