Coronavirus (Covid-19) Live Updates in Vietnam

On 13th March 2020, Vietnam confirms Case 46 and 47 of Coronavirus in Vietnam. Both of them live in Hanoi. One is the flight attendant of the same flight as patient 17 and the other is an employee of case 17.

Case 45 of Coronavirus in the country. Patient 46 is a flight attendant on the flight Vietnam Airlines VN54 on which a large number of cases including case 17 – a Vietnamese citizen and many British flew from London, arrived in Hanoi on 2nd March.

The 46th Covid-19 case is N.T.D, 30 years old, lives in Khuong Trung Street, Thanh Xuan Ward, Hanoi. She worked on the flight VN54, arrived in Hanoi on 2nd March.

On 6th and 7th March 2020, she went out and stopped at some places without wearing masks.

On 8th March 2020, she served economic class passengers who sit at Y27-37 on the flight VN54. She was in contact with about 187 passengers on the flight.

On the next day, she arrived in Vietnam, was in some places in Hanoi. She stayed in room 401 of a hotel at 200 Nguyen Son Street. She ate at a restaurant at 148 Nguyen Son Street.

On 10th March, she stayed at a hotel at 304 Co Linh Street, Long Bien Ward. She had a fever and a wet cough.

From 11th March, this flight attendant has been in isolation at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases 2.

On 13th March 2020, she tested positive for Coronavirus and becomes case 46 of Covid-19 in Vietnam.

Until 13th March, about 22 people who were in close contact with case 46 were taken to isolation areas.

Case 47 is the housekeeper (or cleaner) in the building where case 17 lives and works. She is 43 years old, lives in Truc Bach Street, Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi. She has been in isolation since 6th March when case 17 was confirmed.
