19th and 20th Coronavirus cases confirmed in Vietnam – aunt and driver of case 17

In the evening of 7th March 2020, Vietnam confirmed two more Coronavirus cases: the 19th and the 20th patients who are aunt and private driver of Nguyen Hong Nhung – 17th case.

Patient 19

The patient 19 is 64 years old, live in Truc Bach Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. She is an aunt of Nguyen Hong Nhung – the 17th case in Vietnam.

On 7th March 2020, she tested positive for Coronavirus one day after Nguyen – her niece tested positive for Coronavirus.

She took after Nguyen after she arrived home from a trip around London, Milan and Paris. Nguyen’s sister who is in France was also confirmed to be positive for Covid-19. On 2nd February 2020, Nguyen arrived in Noi Bai Airport Hanoi when she was tired and had a cough. Because she did not declare her medical history, she was not isolated like other people from Italy which is considered a Covid-19 disease area. Read more…

Patient 20

The 20th case is Nguyen’s private driver who picked her up from the airport on 2nd February and took her to hospitals. He also lived in Truc Bach Street. One day after Nguyen was tested positive for Covid-19, her driver became the 20th case in Vietnam. He is 27 years old.
