35th Coronavirus case confirmed in Vietnam

On 11th March 2020, Vietnam confirms the 35th Coronavirus case who was in close contact with cases 22 and 23.

Case 35 is 29 years old, she works as a saleswoman at Dien May Xanh Electronics Center at 7 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Hai Chau District, Danang City. She was in close contact with cases 22 and 23 at about 18:00 4th March 2020. She talked to British patients 22 and 23 who would like to buy simcards in English for 10-20 minutes. She wore a medical mask but took off the mask for a few times. Two British people did not wear any medical mask.

Vietnam is in the process of investigation of people who were in contact with patient 35. After patients 22 and 23 left, the woman continued working until 22:00, then went to her home on Hoang Dieu Street (Binh Thuan Ward, Hai Chau District).

From 5th to 7th March, she went to her parents’ house in Hoa Tho Dong Ward, Cam Le Ward and had them take care of her child.

On 5th March, she attended a meeting held by The Gioi Di Dong Company at 325 Dien Bien Phu Street, Thanh Khe District, Danang. There were about 40 people at the meeting, then went to her mother’s house and her mother in law’s house.

In the morning of 6th March 2020, she had a dry cough but still worked and visited her mother and mother in law.

At 18:30 on 7th March, she went to the Danavi Mart on Le Dinh Ly Street with her husband’s younger sister (or brother). A few hours later, she had a fever and felt tired.

On 8th March 2020, she went to Da Nang Hospital and was diagnosed to have bronchitis, provided the drugs and treated as an outpatient.

On 9th March, reading about two British tested positive for Coronavirus, she drove to Lung Hospital herself and recommended to self-isolate at home. She went shopping at Vinmart Supermarket on Hoang Dieu Street before going home. At night, she went to Lung Hospital and has been in isolation.
