More 8 Coronavirus cases confirmed in Vietnam after Case 21

In the afternoon of 8th March 2020, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam confirms 8 new Coronavirus cases. The total cases of Covid-19 in Vietnam is 29, including 13 cases confirmed in the last two days and 16 cases tested negative for the virus.

All of the cases flew on the same flight as Nguyen Hong Nhung – 17th case. It was Vietnam Airlines flight VN54 from UK, arrived at Noi Bai Airport, Hanoi at 4:30 AM on 2nd March 2020.

6 of them are British, one is an Irish person and the other is a Mexican. They are aged from 58 to 74. One of them flew in economy class, the others flew in business class. 8 new Covid-19 case were found 4 patients in Quang Ninh Province, 2 patients in Lao Cai Province and 2 patients in Da Nang City. They are treated at hospitals at Quang Ninh General Hospital, Lao Cai General Hospital, Danang Hospital.

For more information, there are 217 passengers including 21 business class passengers and 180 economy class passengers, 16 pilots and flight attendants. Until now, Vietnam verified destinations of 21 business class passengers and 155 of 180 economy class passengers. 60 passengers are in Hanoi.
